Hello All – I am the GML of Garrison Carida in Eastern Pennsylvania, and here for research. I'm a big believer in the Detachments, and rely on them for the best information and input. Greetings to all those aboard the Flagship Eclipse.

I’ve been poking around at all the amazing information and help here and am excited to be part of the forums now. Wow. So many incredible costumes!

I’ll post some pictures of my progress and about a million questions lol :)

Hello everyone! I'm Kyle. I recently just joined the Starkiller Garrison Academy here in western Pennsylvania, and I am starting my first costume as Darth Revan currently! I plan to do several over the years, but I have a special affinity to the sith characters of The Old Republic and then general Star Wars video game realm. I'm really excited to be here as a prospective member! I've always wanted to join!

Hey hey!

I'm Brittany from metro Phoenix, Arizona. I've been in the Rebel Legion for five years, but this is my first foray into the 501st. I've done some prep for a Bazine Netal that's currently on the shelf (those shoes, man...) but am currently starting Doctor Aphra (gray jacket). Being active with RL, I know a lot of folks in the Dune Sea Garrison; I'm still getting used to all the different forums on the dark side though!

Hello,

My name is Donovan and I live in France.

I want to join the 501st because I have a friend in it and want to be a part of it :)

I asked to join this forum because I'm looking to make Nihilus COTF costume and this is the detachment that we can see on the CRL page.

It will be my first experience since I never make any costume and I'm sure this forum have very useful informations about how to make it !

About the CRL, I see that the outer skirt and inner tunic look the same on the picture.

I don't know if it's an error or not so I prefer to write it :)

Greetings,

I am Chris and am looking to put together a Lord Starkiller costume and become a part of the 501st.  Back in 2010 I had a Vader ROTS suit I was going to submit for acceptance, but life stepped in the way and I had to sell off most of my Star Wars collection, which I'm now kicking myself seeing how much my Master Replicas stuff would have been worth.  LOL...

Now, I'm back slowly rebuilding my collection and wanted to do something different this time and have always loved The Force Unleashed franchise.  I look forward to learning from everyone here.

Thank you!

Hello there!

I'm Steven from Star Garrison, Imperial Rough Rider Squad. At the moment the costume I'm most prominent in is probably the Imperial Gunner! I've been in the Legion for a bit over 3 years now and I'm eager to get out there in even more costumes. Currently I'm wanting to jump into a Grand Inquisitor Version 2. I LOVE that helmet, and want to start with it straight away but I'm looking forward to completing the whole thing!

Hello everyone,

I am a 501st member and a part of the Everglades Squad in South Florida. I just received 501st approval for my Mara Jade-Nezmi Base and waiting for admittance into the Detachment.

I also have a Tonnikka Blue and a Tie Pilot reserve costume.

I have a Viceroy Nute Gunray being shipped to me as I write this and I am working on Mother Talzin, finishing my Tie Pilot and then my next build will be a Clone trooper.  I think once you start building a costume, it hard to stop, lol 🤣

But I enjoy the smiles that I put on the faces of children and adults when they see us at events.

Looking forward to trooping in Mara Jade  soon👍☺️

Howdy,

I've recently joined the 501st as an Imperial Knight in the 501st Northeast Remnant.  Excited to troop, and to expand both my uniform/armor/costume repertoire, and my knowledge of SW!

While I just joined with my IK, I'm already looking at a Darth Revan armor set!

Hi everyone, I am Li Yi (family name first) from Beijing and plan to join the Chinese Garrison. Right now I’m doing my research on Seventh Sister. A few years ago I met a friend and Garrison member from Shanghai and he encouraged to join the fam one day. I feel like now it’s the time to begin my preparation. I hope my day of approval coming soon.

Hello!
I'm Amy, aka Salti, and a 501st Member from New England Garrison, Granite Squad, IOC Division: Dominion Command.

BTW - anyone know why my local Squad isn't available to choose from in the list given in Profile?  It's the biggest Squad in the NEG, so it's odd...

My current approved costume is Imperial Officer Crew, Non Saga - the soft parts from a non-approved TIE Pilot I made this summer:  Ahsoka Night TIE Pilot.  There's not enough screen reference or a released Celebration Costume to create a CRL off of, so for now that one will remain un-approved.  Meanwhile I'm finishing up the hard parts on an approvable R1 TIE.

I am here because the next big costume I want to do is the Ahsoka Morgan Elsbeth.  Looking to help develop the costume and then the CRL.  Super excited for it!

Because ADHD I may take a break at some point to work on something simpler within the Detachment tho.  We'll see.  😁
Looking forward to meeting you all around the forums!

Hello everyone,

I'm Christiane from the German Garrison. My current registered costumes are Stormtrooper and Biker Scout. Now I have started a new project: I am making the Eleena Daru costume. I'm still at the very beginning and hope to find inspiration here. I am happy to be here and send greetings to everyone here.

Hello all..!

I currently live in New York City, Brooklyn actually.  I am a member of the 501st, Empire City Garrison, as a First Order Stormtrooper, TK-38435.(Also a member of the Rebel Legion, Echo Base Garrison, as a Resistance Pilot…don’t hate me).

I have started the process of designing the “Starkiller Concept Robes”.  I don’t see many of these approved.  Looking for advice that may be had.  I am an expert at sewing, I designed a Resistance Pilot flight suit and vest myself.  Did all the sewing, and made my own patterns myself.  Passed Rebel Legion standards first round.

Taking on this new costume will be a fun challenge!  Attached is the best reference pic I found, it matches the CRL exact.

Greetings to all Flagship Eclipse members!

My name is Ramon, 32 years old and from the Netherlands.
I'm a web developer as a profession and past year I have been delving into costume creation as a (new) hobby and I found out I thoroughly enjoy it.  The costume I am working on right now is unrelated to Star Wars however (Witch King from LOTR) but I have seen alot about the 501st this past year in my time researching costumes. I also joined the RPF where a lot of Star Wars fans and creators reside.

To get to the point, I am a nerd that also loves Star Wars, and the community of the 501st (and other departments)  really spoke to me. I noticed it is hard to find people that like building and geeking out over costumes like I do and it can be a lonesome endeavor at times. That is one of the reasons I would love to join the department in the Netherlands, besides the great charity work that you guys do.

So now I was thinking about what I should build! I wanted to go for a Sith Lord or Dark Jedi character. Obviously I immediately thought of intimidating costumes like Lord Vader, Darth Malgus, Darth Bane, or another big, imposing and armored characters with an air of mystery, since that is what I appreciate about these characters. Then I delved a little deeper into other characters and ended up with Tulak Hord as a clear favorite for me.
I value uniqueness, as I don't think anyone has finished such a costume yet, as well as his entire design just speaking to me.

I understand I must undergo approval because this character hasn't been yet added to the costume database. So I will contact the necesarry people about that in due time. Do you guys think I should notify anyone of the build process yet, or do I first create a design and plan, before sharing?

Thanks in advance!
