  1. You need two tunic´s for this costume
  2. Hi Dan I´ve asked in our mentor forum, if there is someone, who can help you out, preferred Thomas - but sadly there haven´t been any respons on it, and I don´t know this character enough to give you any advices... sorry - but I really like your progress Have you tried to write Thomas ?
  3. Hi Welcome to TFE - greetings from Denmark. Good choice - looking forward to see it and to get a new member for the detachment
  4. Hi Yes it can be a problem since it states in the CRL that the color needs to be a faint grey - but perhaps you can weather it with a grey color afterwards or get the company to change the color to grey ??
  5. That´s also the version, that I´ve gotten approved That´s a very nice pinwheel pattern - but the pattern needs to be in a faint grey color, this is way to bright.
  6. Hi Welcome, nice to see another "sister" - there are two versions of the Visas Marr character - which one are you going for ?
  7. Hi and welcome Indeed she is still approved - here is a link for the CRL on the 501st. main pages : http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:DZ-Sinya Looking forward to follow your WIP
  8. Hi This is one of the costumes, where you are going to get a bit cold wearing... As to your questions - no and no - only body paint is acceptable and no cloak either.
  9. Hi As a costume mentor here on TFE and having made a Nihilus costume - I would say, the gloves are fine for approval. Though I do agree with Tiedoll - the gloves looks a bit to large for you - perhaps it´s just the way the photo was taken Good luck with the approval - looking forward to seing you in our ranks too.
  10. Hi Sorry, that you haven´t gotten any respons on this - unfortunately I´m not an expert on this character, so I can´t tell you if it can be used. I´ll see, if I can get another mentor or a staff member to look at this.
  11. It looks very much like the same color, that I used - so yes, the one far to the right looks okay
  12. For the belt I would use the dark red on your first pic - the light one is not going to work. The CRL also states, that you need a dark red fabric for the belt. http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:SL_marr_unseen And as to the pic in your second reply - yes, I would use the dark one in the middle as a ref. it looks like the right burgundy color As to the black fabric - just make sure, that you won´t die from the heat, if it is non breathable. My outerdress is killing me, so one of my next projects it, that I´m going to make a new one out of faux breathable leather.
  13. Hi and welcome It it´s the Visas Marr Unseen, Unheard version - then you´ll need to find some fabric that are more burgundy as it states in the CRL, and it needs to be a matte fabric - these, I´m afraid, are to red and light. For the KOTOR version it will be okay with a dark red fabric. The black one is a bit hard to see - is it a leatherette or vinyl ? Nice to see another "sister"
  14. Congrats ! you look awesome
  15. The one I made for my friend has a balaclava under his mask and he has no problems with the mask. You need to try, what works best for you - there are several ways to do it
  16. Just for you info - the CRL on the 501st. page has now been corrected - looking forward to seeing your progress
  17. It´s always good to provide pics of all the different details or if you have a WIP thread to link to that, so the judges can see the progress of the build. You can use what ever works for you as an undersuit + perhaps use something like the stormtroopers are using, those are good to get the sweat away from the body I´m still waiting for our DL and staff to get the CRL on the 501st page fixed...
  18. Hi The CRL on the 501st page about the inner- and outer skirt is wrong ! We are trying to get it fixed - the CRL in here is the right one. I hope that the DL or another of the staff members will chip in on this - I´ve already asked for help, again. Regarding the hilt - it is not a must have for approval, but if you want to carry one, it needs to be like the KOTOR versions. Also, the boots, as long as we can´t see any straps/laces or logos, they should be fine.
  19. It would be easier with a pic, but normally a single layer would be enough
  20. Hi You have to make the leather wet and then shape it over a couple of days to get the right form Try and take a look at the other WIP threads in here, there are some good pics too. Hope it helps
  21. Hi Big congrats on your approval - you look awesome
  22. Very nice - shouldn´t be a problem with the approval
