  1. While sabers aren't required for approval or trooping, we recommend getting as accurate of one as you can. Ultrasabers are designed to be used in combat, and often sacrifice accuracy for being able to take a hit. With Revan's hilt, it's really 2 options you have for the design for KOTOR style in either single or double, but both versions can be seen in the gallery of references here: http://www.theflagshipeclipse.com/forums/index.php?/gallery/category/27-darth-revan-kotor/ It shows the simplistic KOTOR game file design as well as the Star Wars Encyclopedia entry for Revan's hilt. The most important thing being that we do NOT accept SWTOR style hilts for KOTOR Revan. I am still hoping that someone will make a SWTOR Revan, but the hilts would still only be usable in the appropriate eras/games that the costumer is wearing.
  2. To continue off of Chris's response, yes, Baras is absolutely approvable. Just make sure that the 3D files you have match 100% to the ones in game. Sometimes there are discrepancies in details that the file maker's do not worry about, but we as the costumer need to. With the lightsaber, it does not need to light up or even have a blade, but the second file you posted is a lot different than the in-game file from Jedipedia. You will need to match the curve and the proportions of the emitter. I am also currently building armor from SWTOR, so it will be exciting to have other characters!
  3. For the piping, I just put a pipe cleaner across the inside, pinned the shirt around it in a straight line, then sewed the two sides. I left the two sides open just barely enough to pull the cleaners out, then closed up the edges. My collar is weird in that it isn't actually attached. Because I have all my dreads to worry about, my separate collar that is fabric with a thin foam core for structure, has velcro that meets with velcro sewn on the existing collar of the shirt. Then, I have a velcro enclosure that goes around my dreads and balaclava to keep it snug against my neck.
  4. Welcome! @LDR Could probably help with the Squad bit
  5. The cape doesn't tie to the rings. The cape can be attached to the armor itself and then the hood and capelet sit on top of it, with the shoulders of the capelet attaching to the armor rings.
  6. If you go the worbla or foam route, just make sure you seal them so that they look like armor.
  7. I absolutely love your costumes! Welcome!
  8. As for the hood, you want to pull the panel edges in towards the middle of the chest so they slightly overlap and give the illusion of being one piece. Also, I would take a small piece of velcro and attach it so that the edge of the hood sits just above the eye slit.
  9. That's because the CRL was updated and before the photos could be uploaded, the hard drive that they were stored on was corrupted, so we are just waiting for new photos, lol. Otherwise, the main photo is updated and complete.
  10. As a generic template, those look pretty good for spacing and such.
  11. Hi there. Welcome to the forum. Your profile shows Inactive in the Legion, so when you get approved with a costume to bring you to active status, we can put you at the appropriate rank. If you have any questions on building Revan, don't hesitate to ask.
  12. Woohoo! Also, which adhesive goo is it?
  13. Will need the link to your 501st search before we can change your rank from inactive. You can go to 501st.com/members/searchform.php

  15. This is exactly why I will not do a Visas unless there is a way to sublimate the design. Eff that noise, I would go cross-eyed and my OCD would kick in too much. I would never finish.
  16. Would you mind us using this for the TFE page? I feel like this needs to be shared with the world.
  17. They also tend to be bulky in size and "dinky" in construction.
  18. Every WIP should have cats in the photos!
  19. Was it the dinky UltraSabers one? Lol.
