Gentle Giant Mini Bust: Darth Nihilus

This just in from Gentle Giant;

 

Not that I encourage commercialism of the Expanded Universe. Still, it warms my heart to see one of our core components get "busted." It represents a certain level of public recognition for a character many of us on The Flagship Eclipse have grown to love. And while I feel wider recognition should not be the affect one's personal choice in a costume, it is good to see the love for the character of Darth Nihilus grow.

It won't affect mine... the outer robe isn't long enough.

Aside from the fact that I'll need to go around to all the stores to shave those hanging fabric ends off the knot, that bust isn't half bad. It's a hundred times better than the Nihilus action figure, that's for sure!

Accuracy aside, it's a cool bust. I saw a picture of this a while back and it would be cool to own. As has been noted before, there isn't a lot of Darth Nihilus stuff available.

Now that you mention the skull, it does look a little low-brow. However, I am liking the weathering on the side of the cape... I might just have to do mine like that, rather than just weathering the bottom.
