Helping a friend with his COTF Nihilus. **Need Help!** TY!

His costumes been submitted but there is an issue with his sleeves.

Can any APPROVED Nihilius come tell me

 

What is the Fabric you used for your sleeves??

**In a lot of photos it looks like that quilted fabric that you get from any fabric store that prequilted?*

 

It says a smoother fabric. His Costume feels like a cotton weave

but his sleeves are leather (he got the costume from a guy who was approved in the 501st with it)

*I didnt make it so i dont know the exact materials*

there is no issues with the costume except the sleeves.

 

Recommendations on fabric MUCH appreciated,

I´ve just helped a friend too getting his Nihilus COFT approved, and I used a normal smooth and thin cotton fabric, just adding padding inside and there you go. Otherwise the sleeves will be too thick and warm

Thank you so much for the quick reply! I was thinking the exact same thing and was concerned about that as well....

We live in Southern Cal.

Its 100 degrees outside today haha XD! I dont need him passing out.

I used a plain quilters cotton and added the padding. It's light and soft, so good for hot weather and nice on the skin.
