  1. Hello!! Aye furthermore costumes that were cannon and turned Legends by Disney that were not made are still eligible to be created and submitted for Legion approval. So even if it never existed you can still make if you have the proper reference!
  2. Aye ID recommend like 4 yards just for the skirt. It looks so nice when it's full! You can bell the shape and that will keep it nice and flush though if you use that much material it'll stay closed anyways.
  3. I'm glad you got in touch with Rob! Good to hear. Sorry about the puppy mishap
  4. Aye I do second about the three sources. IMHO its now a touch harder and very clear about what is needed. However yes it can come from one circa IE: a turn around in a video game. Quote "The character must be represented visually by an officially authorized Star Wars publication. Full body front/back/side reference must be available. "
  5. Oh awesome! I originally looked into this build before doing a SWTOR Revan. The design is so lovly! Can't wait to see it. I love how is a good mix of soft and hard pieces. can't wait to see!
  6. Oh my i understand completely. I tell you a couple of the builds ive started I felt like i was fighting a downhill battle. Id find one image but then have questions about another part. I have even gone as far as contacting the Original Concept Artists or the game companies, Attending conventions when i hear one of the 3D modelers would be there. Some of the stuff is hidden behind locked doors for no reason other than no one asks for it. No longer under any kind of NDA.
  7. Aye sir thats just a fabulous idea, but I am someone who fully agrees with you, i ran into the same issues with my build, as i love helping with CRLS i did all i could to make the changes The CRLS are growing resources and constantly changing, so its sad when one or two do get ignored due to people not making the costume We need all the help we can get to keep them correct and updated! thank you for what youve found/done thus far and keep up the great work!
  8. Wow this looks really good! I am mildly skimming it, the only thing i notice on first pass is the belt shape is a tad off reference in many of the reference images (but its just mildly rounded edges maybe?) however it may be just dandy! may be something you might want to look into upgrading some day (hey we all do it) You look amazing!!
  9. Oh you are awesome then! Aye from the second I turned in my Kylo Ren to finishing it was a 7 month process! (yep!) The other 1st I did took almost 2 months I haven't had a 1st approved since the CRL rule change so i imagine that will slow it even more :/ *hugs* I hope its approved very soon! (or at least you get some feed back) thank you so much for your patience!
  10. Aye, I cant stress enough, please include reference (as much as you can) There is also a new Legion 1st rule and it involves building the CRL before the costume is approved this will slow the process further, so if this is your first costume I will have to apologize personally in advance as I myself have built 8 Legion 1sts and they can and will be time consuming sometimes. But that shouldn't stop you from doing a few things 1. Write a mock CRL. just for fun (post it here lets see it and talk! ) 2. Line up your images of your costume with the real one Both of these things help judges immensely when judging costumes. I've been doing judging for the Rebel legion for a few years now and let me tell you how much it helps when a Work in progress with proper reference is given it just speeds things up so much! I hope this helps!

Hello! Good News! If they follow the guidelines of "Legion 1st" (ie: you have the proper reference) Characters who were cannon who were turned "Legend" are still available as "approval character" costumes in the legion!
  12. Here are a TON of photos of my costume to show you guys the whole package!
  13. Here is a bunch of tutorials ive made since i made this post! I hope these help folks on their kylo adventures
  14. Hello to you and welcome! I would love to see some progress pictures that way we can check out your awesome work thus far! have a great day and i look forward to seeing Armor wise the only person I know of is Rob @ My Wicked Armor. He does a great job.
  15. Yes, your saber would be fine. I have a Garrison mate with this build and I adore these guys. MWA makes a Sith aco I thought?? Also mystic merchant looks good you can always ask em to tone it down or send them a Pantone of color for them to use
  16. You guys have your kits yet? I have a few friends with them and they are very happy. I love this costume
  17. This costume is so great and I want to see more progress! The CRL image seems to just be Funtasma skywalker-100 and I would say those are a huge no. just follow your ref and you'll be ok
  18. Aye sir! You mentioned the crl is wrong on some points. So what I did when I made my interpretation of the costume was i took original images from in game and side by sided them to show proof that the CRL was wrong (and many CRLs are BTW that's just the nature of the beast, as we can all do the same thing but one person's perception of the same thing could be different and CRLs are always updated )
  19. At some point many years from now sure this could happen. But yes there were many more people fighting to have Kylo than to "toss him" to another detachment. I was the Legion 1st Kylo and I'm the CRL image and I helped write the CRL. Thomas would have welcomed Kylo with open arms but when ever I make a costume I try and decide with great care where would a general member go if they want to make a wip. Long story I made a Force Unleashed Princess Leia costume. Upon writing the CRL for the Rebel Legion I consulted where I thought the costume should fall. Is she more a jedi or is she more a Princess? In the end I ultimately decided based on what others perceive Leia as and for the majority people would say she is a Princess, so we made her the senatorial detachment for that costume despite fighting Starkiller. Kylo is a great example of this. It's not what JJ says, it's not what Disney says, it's what the general public perceive this costume as and well if you ask almost any kid they will answer 'he's that new Sith guy " I hope this helps!
  20. I wish you had a back image! This is coming along really nicely. Have you scoured the books for some back or side back shots??
  21. Photos! Post lots of photos!
  22. Wow this is really coming along nicely!
  23. The Balaclava type masks? I myself sew all my own but i just measure my head and basically make a bag out of very stretchy material =)
