  1. Wow this is lovly. Colors and dress Drape is stunning!
  2. These are a great simple boot. Funny enough I own a pair. My only complaint is that I can never get out the wrinkles in the leg properly
  3. Fantastic thank you for clarifying that! This is great reference
  4. Oh wow! That top shot is stellar! Shows perfect all around of the costume. Good find
  5. WOW! This looks FANTASTIC. I love the weathering and detailing that you are putting into this build. Its that little extra steps that is going to make your costume look so complete. There are so many fine details in this costume, i cant wait to see it on you! I wish you could do a test shot in it!
  6. Aye ive got it on my steam account i need to just plain turn it on and start screen shotting various parts. If anyone else has it that would be cool as well! I don't either, but yes i can pull up the original 3d model as seen in game and reference it at least and do a turn around (as the game comes with all the 3d models) I swear Galen Marek has more costumes than Padme.
  7. Hello Hello!! As I always tell folks Reference First! (which you have bravo!) Hey we have human eyes and things might be wrong! The CRL might be wrong I think you are on a good track with this case I keep meaning to pop in my copy of this game into my computer, I need to do this ASAP. Do you happen to have any more reference for it?
  8. I am sure it will (should go nudge the comic makers) jk jk

That is adorable! Looks really good (and comfy)
  10. Oh yes very true. TFE is truly a unique detachment. We are the only detachment in the Legion where you can exist in two places at once example: having a sithlord EU character. However when that situation does arrise it can usually be easy to see where a costume should end up. If it's not in the film's Id say here is the most logical place. Though I see a slew of costumes making their home here when that begins to happen (and it will happen)
  11. *fist bump* Hello fellow local, my name is Dawn Bright SL13377! I'm Southern California Garrison but I own a home in San Diego and troop a ton with ISG, some of my best friends are in ISG. They just got a Revan they could use a Nihilus! Love seeing that pair together.
  12. Oh wow wow wow looks awesome!!

Aye this is a great costume and I want to see someone tackle this baby! Cintra or EVA foam would be PERFECT to start with as a base for the armor. As to your question we have had both cases Between the two legions we have arrived at both cases. I think you need to find a good base and what I mean by that is, use your natural proportions and base the colors as close to reference as possible. If I were building this costume ID go as far as wearing concealer makeup to clean up any blemishes I may have on my face to look as cartoon like as possible. I'd def try and make the hair look as close to the cartoon as possible. Simple shapes and simple approach will make this look good. When you are done, if it looks that weird you can always reevaluate and change our route as its always easier to add details later than take away.
  14. Im going to try and word this as carefully as I can.. Generally we dont require it be made from certain materials, however in this case (and the crl) states the following HOWEVER Generally whatever gets the job done is acceptable and will be approvable. If you can make it look like the reference you are free to basically use whatever you want. I think its pretty awesome you intend to do Metal. Good luck on your build! Post your progress, I am sure itll be gorgeous!
  15. No more than what Revans really would be. Basically your own bodies proportions is what we potentially use to base theirs on. Really we are trying to replicate what is seen in game not our own interpretation of it I hope this helps my friends!
  16. Aye ive seen those to! hehe id go to town waxing a cotton one and spraypainting it XD

  18. Could not agree more on the color, Wow! BTW PM sent
  19. Ohh this is fantastic thank you so much for your input! No no sir! the point of a CRL is to update it as needed. when better information comes out or new things are discovered we update. its wonderful! They are working pieces of reference for us to go from. No rocking the boat and no one that I have ever met had been insulted by such. Its great to see someone dedicating time to such things and such perfection. (Not to say that others havent) however reinventing the wheel sometimes yeilds better results
  20. Using this video you can see the costume I will be completing @ 4 m 27 s 1080p
  21. I realize ill be building everything from the ground up. I plan on starting with a Rubies Deluxe Vader base. The version of this costume I will be doing is "Phase 3" Phase 1: Normal TFU Vader Phase 2: Mildly Damaged Phase 3: Moderate Damage (pre-death) I feel like the best version of this costume is phase 3. It makes for a good look and design. The one piece I did hand make was my mask (which you can see above) Ill be using that. Its a full latex prosthetic.
  22. Finally setting out again to work on my Battle Damage Vader again. I had previously set out to make it nearly two years ago and through some research id found a member of the 501st who had already completed the costume. Funny enough it was another woman. She had made the costume in memory of her mother who had cancer. I wont share the details but her costume was made with damage on the opposite side. Her name is Li Reznick. I tracked her down trying to gather information on making the suit, as it turned out she lived less than 40 miles from me and she graciously allowed me to have her Battle Damage Vader suit. I was forever in her debt. Ive now trooped in her suit for two years and done 20+ events in this costume. However I know this costume would never be approved as the damage is on the wrong side even if i were to upgrade it to the exact look and design. Here is a few photos of me in my costume I wont be starting on this until after easter but i am going to gather as much reference as I can (just like before) and go head first into this.
