My first question is about clarity on the CRL description of the makeup. There is one line that the head is mostly dark brown. Then every other reference in that section is to black makeup, including the base of the horns in the black section being black.

On all my screen caps, the makeup does appear dark brown. Which way do I need to go?

Just bumping again to see if anyone has a comment on the black versus brown makeup discrepancy in the CRL as referenced above.

Could you show pics for what you are referring to?

I've highlighted the conflicting wording.  I'm not sure why black was used.  Every reference photo from The Clone Wars shows his dark makeup as dark brown.  This is especially noticeable when he's in the same scenes with Darth Maul whose makeup is black.  Just want to clarify before I get too far.  I have a very dark brown makeup that I want to try out and see if it works.

Strange!

I concur, I believe it is a very dark brown. I'll submit to have it modified in the CRL.

Thanks for catching this!

Awesome.  Thanks for the reply.  I didn't highlight all the uses of the word black in that section - there's 5 other occurences.

The reference photo that convinced me is when he's with Darth Maul, you can see the slight difference.

The way that i interpreted the face paint was the dark brown was on the head but the black was to be used on the face. Looks like i have to reassess how i fo my makeup.

If you have any questions, im 90% complete with my Savage. Be happy to help

You know, there is a certain Savage CRL that could do with having photos taken and used in it after approval......

Just sayin'....... :D
