Kiwi Nihilus

I have made a very big mistake. I need your help. Fabric should be here within hours but I am unsure on the pattern. I am thinking about using the jedi robe tutorial on the rebel legion site. Would this be acceptable?

 

I will also be taking lots of pics and making lots of posts. I have found most wips on this site is starting Nihilus then robes done. I want some beginner (like myself) to be able to read this like a step by step guide and learn from my multiple mistakes.

This is the pattern I used to make my Nihilus robes:

It does require some small modifications, but it is an easy pattern to follow. Between that pattern, and following Pam's website on how they made Scott's Nihilus, I was able to make my robes.

 

Feel free to ask any needed questions and I'll try my best to answer them.

My Nihilus was my first sewing venture as well and it was so fun. One thing I also did was sew the robes out of an old bedsheet first to get comfortable with the pattern before using the actual material.

I cut up an old karate gi and used that for a pattern.

So fabric arrived today. I have some cheap fabric as well to try out the tunic pattern and get that sorted. I will try and take plenty of photos of my work.
