  1. Glad to see it progressing. I hope it turns out great. If you can get your head in it without cutting and adding the zipper just do that. I only added it so I could get it on (shoelaces not so stretchy). I hope the parade goes well, I'm sure it will be great. My first troop I was mistaken for the Emperor so I'm sure you'll do better
  2. looking good. I really like the skirt.
  3. Sure post some pics. I could suggest what has worked well for me with regard to make-up, mannerisms, etc. I'd have to think if there are some good lines form the 3d animated series, but two good lines of hers from the 2d cartoon are: "I am sith" & "The dark side is strong in me"
  4. Great pictures, looks like a lot of fun.
  5. Looking good so far, the buckle looks quite nice. I'd agree with your assessments. When I first did my I think I remade everything at least twice to get it how I wanted it. Is there anything particular you wanted help/feedback on?
  6. Awesome. That is my favorite too (I've made a couple Asajj. ) Do tell if you'd like help or feedback on any of it I'd be happy to share.
  7. Our new DL and Scott shared their feedback on it, has Brain passed it on?
  8. Welcome to the Flagship and Asajj. As mentioned there are a couple versions of the character: Attack of the Clones Concept Sash Belt Version Body Armor Version Clone Wars (3D) and also the Nightsister Version that standards are still in process of being developed for. Titles linked to the CRL pages. Do tell which one fits you're fancy and we'll help where we can.
  9. Glad to have move Ventri If I can assist with anything feel free and ask. For me the collar was one of the trickier parts. I remade it a couple times till I got it the way I wanted it. It looks nice, my main concern with a vinyl base is that it may be very stiff. Will there be a closure on the back so you can put it on and off? Very best of luck with it, glad to have you here.
  10. Slowly, but surely getting things together and getting it made. I'm getting close on having the soft parts altogether. Michael has gotten the boots painted and is moving on the the armour parts.
  11. I'm moving forward on my build, have the boots painted and mu husband is making the armour. Have drafted this as a template:
  12. Looks like it should work, but is a little on the light side. I struggled a bit with finding a material I liked, but was able to get a dress I think will work from a thrift store. Will hopefully get some pictures posted soon.

    Czech Darth Talon

Interesting. Talon is definitely a nice dark red, what did you use for your test?
  14. Sounds great, I'll keep the thread updated. Yeah the sintra will be interesting, ID is handling that. Excited to see how this works. I have all my materials, and just need to make it now.
  15. Welcome Mara, and best of luck with it. For the Sash Belt version I'd consult with kathgruben. Excited to see what you make.
  16. Yes, the neck and round part underneath is essentially the same as other traditional versions and I'm making it the same, matching with the vambraces on the forearms. I found something I think is a good match for the red and would be happy to share the information with you if you'd like.
  17. Fun stuff and nice choreography and staying in character for the duels. I pull a mean scowl but have never preformed an extended duel as Asajj before.
  18. I think she's psychic! Right now my husband is building the armour parts and I've got the red material. I'm trying to decide what would be best for the gray texture right now. Maybe painting it; not sure.
  19. OK I admit it, I've been looking into designing a build for the Nightsister outfit. Though my husband in the Dooku Jammies isn't going forward but done for a joke I think I will build this one.
  20. True, the Hasbro figures have pouches as well, above the hip, probably from the drawing.
  21. Yes, it will. Aluminum wire is my friend
  22. I'm working on it now, just need to find the right material for the gray bodysuit. Bought the red a few minutes ago. The Ventress that is, not Oppress
  23. 1. Go with what Katherine suggests. I've not used them. I dab on some Ben Nye foundation with a natural sponge. 2. Is this for the 3D Ventress or another? 3. If they were the right colour and stayed in place, go for it. 4. Mine has a discrete zipper up the neck down to the top of the back. 5. My husband suggests the big thing here is that the needle can clear the paint. I would think most body paint it should be fine. I actually use his illustration airbrush to paint his Dooku beard these days and it works fine with just watering the Ben Nye stuff down a little. Best of luck and do post pictures
  24. Sorry I had not seen this earlier, we used a discarded torchiere lamp from a neighbor with the top removed. What Katherine posted is a great method too. Cool idea Sakara.
