Yes I also dont know how close MINE will be, but I can guarantee you ill be putting them side by side to the original and checking that they match Its amazing how different the left from the right hand side is. The templates posted are NOT bad. They are only slightly off btw. I don't know how this would translate to approval wise?? So I wanted to be dead on! XD

Hello! As a person who is a Palpatine I would think that you would need a Prosthetic (whatever its made out of is your desecration). We (Us Palpatines) have to be able to move our faces so anything short of something that restricts mouth movement wouldn't be acceptable.

As noted above also Yes I agree The images posted in the mask are Not 100% accurate. I tried using them they are kind of incorrect. They dont line up the same as on the mask. Ill be posting my template with side by sides of my mask as soon as my costume is in queue

I guess it will be a wait and see issue. the SLD informed me this is something that is handled after the fact that the Legion 1st is approved? However if he uses any kind of force power I cant see him being Anything but SL? We just had the first Legion approved Sim Aloos. They recieved the first "designation" of DS that wasnt a former costume taken away as a SL Who took them? BTW 100% done with my costume...cept for the mask.... be looking for my costume by the beginning of next week. (I wont have my saber in hand until Sunday) Ill post my WIP and Progress and side by sides on both forums after hearing your words. Heres a quick and dirty how someone can tighten up my pattern. I am sure you can tighten this up even more! also the bottom of the surcoat has 1.5 inch seams at the bottom just FYI Also my particular weave was 54' after i got done dying and washing and drying x.x it shrunk a bit!

This is still a WIP shot btw of the gloves I had to hand make them myself heh the Glue was still dryng on the pleates on the sleeves XD

I did have a bit of waste! (was part of making the pattern correct) So the back of the surcoat for example doesnt just go down. its pleated (mildly) to create the flowing effect. The capelet was around 3 yards to create the hood. The front once again is not straight and required "belling" at the bottom which meant i then had to move the second front piece down. Also keep this one in mind. The Entire top right and left hand side has No seam at the shoulder. yes. No seam. Also keep this in mind. You have to make the entire thing keeping those "squares" straight. Waste= Big time.

Yeah funny enough, I myself have two starkillers and a Palpatine (Darth Sid version) Neither of which require the saber *pokes CRL* and my location (California) definatly allows weapons I am more on the side of "this character needs his lightsaber" it seems to be leading the direction of it being a important aspect to this guy

I personally have mine coming in the next week but would love if the lightsaber were optional. As it seems to be split by how hard it is to get the saber. Of the 4 sithlords I have approved only one requires the lightsaber (which is my Anakin) Ive heard that its how "hard it is" to get the lightsaber that dictates this requirement in the CRL?

This is VERY well written Mask: I agree 1mm cintra is what I am using, I have found it to be 6 layers deep Gloves: The thumb has nothing on it. The index finger has a circle, the other three fingers have a line vertically with two raised edges then a line horizontally covering the vertical line. Acrosss the hand there are 2 one inch strops going horizontal across the hand Pants: A note on the pants i scored an amazing pair of denim slacks. they lay soooo nicely on me the brand is Levi "Sinfully Soft" Brand 4631842 (jm2-13h-lsah09834) Can I respectfully ask to borrow this when I write my WIP? Seriously fantastic job on this! If you need certain photos I took 500 of just this costume

That monks cloth you guys posted is way to small of a weave The weave on kylos costume is 5-6 double weaves per sq inch. This is 12 double weaves per square inch It's a shame to because it's perfect in zoom. But in person I think this will be way to small

Hello Friends! I am currently working my way through the entire Kylo Ren costume. I took over 500 photos of the costume and I have done a number of legion 1st through out my time here. I will be casting and selling masks and belt buckles. Just so I don't have to repete myself please see our conversation on the Sith Lord Forums under research and development. I am approx 40% done with the entire costume and I will be posting a Full progress, tutorial and WIP on how to make and what to buy. I have no secrets and it's no secret I am trying to do the legion 1st on this costume. Mtfbwy!! Keep in mind I am just a seamstress who makes these costumes and have been for years. The following is based on research. I'll try and address a couple questions There are 35 pleates per arm and the costumer is zippered into it. It also has a small trim around the zipper edge. The belt buckle is under the design in the front and its velcrowed behind that design Component wise there are 4 layers: 1.Cotton shirt with pleates 2. Doublet in wool 3. Surcoat in basket weave 4. Capelet with hood in weave material Materials Belt Buckle Lightsaber clip on right Mask with attached helmet Pants Boots Lightsaber Material I used 5 yards of material to achieve the sleeve pleates 11 yards of basket weave 20 boxes of dye Boots The shoes have 3 anakin style straps going around the boots. 2 at the top and one at the bottom Pants The black denim jeans are plain looking. Helmet The helmet is 6 layers deep. I am constructing my prototype in Sintra for the mask Good luck my friends Pm or post if you have any questions for me. Also.. From my observations none of the costume is brown. Some of it is a dirty black or more weathered look is all.

Alright so "official" is different from "cannon" yes. They are still official LFL sources while not being viewed as cannon storyline anymore is what I am assuming? That is great! As there are still a number of great costumes that are not even listed in our CRL that I am sure that people would love to see created!

While my opinion means nothing to the case I 100% agree with you guys, its all or nothing, and as it should be. I am not for the Grandfathering either, I see it being a big center of confusion for any Programmer anyways and it would make no sense to the general public who could frankly care less about it. I am all for confusing less people. ^.-

Now replying. I didnt do it yet, but I think I know! Its heat! Take a heat gun or a carfully used Iron to pleather and it has no other choice but to melt (slightly) and warp! I did it with my Starkiller robes to unwrinkle them when i shoved them in a box The chest was the last detail I did... I as afraid of it and continually searched for options. I went the easy way out and with a steady hand... I puffypainted it! haha
