I STARTED OFF GETTING THE MASK.

THEN I GOT THE GLOVES.

THEN MY CLOTH ROBES CAME IN. THE TUNICS, OBI, SKIRTS, HOOD/CAPE. I HAVE TO DO SOME ALTERING AND TATTERING TO THEM.

THEN I GOT THE BELT. VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK IN THE BELT.

NOW TO GET THE BOOTS AND BLACK UNDERMASK. THE COTF DARTH NIHILUS LIGHT SABER I AM STILL WAITING TO GET FROM SABER CONCEPTS. TAKING HIM FOREVER!!!

it's actually fairly easy if you do it out of something like PVC foam board. It's a thermal plastic that you can heat up and bend and it'll hold it's shape. I used a piece of that and a cut down batters helmet to make one. When your forming it have the reference pictures open so you can get the shape right as your bending.

if you have a sign shop in town ask them for sintra (brand name) or PVC foam board (generic name), it's what a lot of signs are made from, you can also order it from ebay (under PVC foam board) for fairly cheap.

I also have a saber from Wade (nihilus saber) and it´s great. Did he have one that was done already or do you have to wait for him to build one?

The COTF Nihilus blade I ordered from Wade 4 1/2 months ago. He had none made on hand. He told me 3 months, and I have been messaging him, with no response the last 3 weeks. I kinda need it for 2 big events I am going to in Edmonton late October. He is kinda holding me up. I have been waiting as patient as possible. :?

It took almost 8 month before I got mine, but he often has health issues and also many sabers to make.

I hope you will get it soon but be ready that it might be a bit longer then agreed on.

Hey Jason!

 

Glad to see you over here on the Flagship forums. I'm the Nihilus that is currently trooping with the Badlands Garrison. Don't panic too much over the lightsaber. While it is very cool to have, it is not required for approval into the 501st. So focus on getting the costume done and approved and then worry about the lightsaber afterwards. It's what I had to do for CCEE last year as I was rushing to get my Nilihus done in time for that event.

 

Edmonton Expo will be an awesome event to début your Nihilus at if you get done in time. I won't be trooping ECEE in my Nihilus, I'm showing off a new costume, so you can hold up the Nihilus torch for Badlands!

Right on. I'm going to wear it there, and then after the Edmonton Expo I'll be submitting my costume in for approval. I don't think I'll have time to get it approved before the Expo, cause I still have a tiny bit of work to do on it yet. Looking forward to seeing the Badlands there :)

Yeah, the ECEE was awesome. I had no time to finish off my costume in time for it. I have a week off, so I am getting more of the final work to it done. Almost done :)

Well, just got my crown vacuformed from the friend who has the mold from the guy I got my mask from. Now left to do is connect the crown to the mask, and hooded cape, then tatter the costume, and get the boots.

that shape looks really good, we'll see what it looks like with the fabric on it ^_^when you get everything done and together, post your pictures here first and we'll be able to point out if there needs to be any tweaks before you submit. ^_^
