  1. If that is the case you might want to take a look at the several suggestions that were posted, most all seemed to be good suggestions. Only Thomas or perhaps Pam could say definitively, but those would help. From the pictures you linked too it looks like it would be helpful to make a template for the tattoos, if you'd like we could share what we use, just let us know. Good luck with it. Edited for spelling
  2. Just as a side note are you planning on constructing your own sabres? If not I believe Hasbro is making one of their Signature Series ones of hers, that matches the 3D animation style. If it is anything like the Dooku one it will be very thick in circumference. I know one of the main things we focused on when making LadyB's was to be sure it fit nicely in her hands, so the Hasbro one might be a bit large, we'll have to see. I ramble, so to the point it is available if you had not already seen it:
  3. Thanks, we've been having fun.
  4. Brita used a couple or things that her father and I tooled together to make hers: The outside is a handle from a washcloth stand with a bathtub fitting inside it help together with a smaller equestrian ring and pin that the belt material was sewn to on the one side. If you'd like any suggestions as to what we did feel free and ask, there is a bunch in her thread here on the Flagship and on the Alpine garrison site (I believe a link is in her thread).
  5. I'm guessing that you already have a bunch of reference but I saw this was a decently large image and thought I'd point it out:
  6. Looking good, love the detailing of the sabers. I'm in process of doing the same for LadyB's pair of Ultrasabres.
  7. It looked like PVC to me, but do tell Lisa what they and the belt are made of. As far as the end of the vampbraces the part over the back of the hand does seem much larger than any reference. What were you going from on that part of the design?
  8. Thanks, I've been meaning to have a look, I have some of the others of those from the other movies, but don't have that one. Edit: Brita has checked at the library and is seeing about getting it on inter-library loan.
  9. It would have been interestingly different to have her in AOTC and ROTS, but we'll never know...maybe something for an infinities comic or something. LadyB is clearly not Somalian, but I still think she plays the part of Asajj well. This is from a Toys for Tots fundraiser over the weekend:
  10. Probably, her father emailed me,
  11. The second Relay for Life event went well, we had a smaller group but were able to help raise some money. One girl there was very excited, Asajj was her favortie character, she was very happy.
  12. Indeed well said. It is a pain to get into, but is rather impressive when she does. We're doing a "relay for life" event this evening for cancer research and so she will dawn it again (was party of a 4th of July parade last week too).
  13. It is looking much better, thanks for sharing the images, hope the event was fun. Others have noted most of the stuff you could refine, the only thing I would say is the cap on the neck. I know when Ladyb first did hers she didn't use the adhesive on the neck and after shooting for a while her hair began to come out there as it curled a little. Just a little something to hold it there and the makeup suggestions to blend the transition should work great.
  14. That's lovely it only takes you 40 minutes. More power to you. It was the first time doing the make-up properly and we took our time. We took some breaks in the process, took some extra time to shoot video and photos so hopefully in the future I can replicate the process (it has been years since I used my actual airbrush as opposed to a digital one), as well as the time to cut the cap to size and make/refine the tattoo templates, etc. It shouldn't take as long in the future, but we deferred to Shawn's expert hand and were very happy with the results, in many shots she does indeed look bald, and the cap looks very much like living skin, the details were brilliant. Me too, I think they looked quite nice. (LadyB's husband)
