Yes it is the same, that I used and it is not approvable as it is... you will need to sand down the raised areas above the eyes and sculp the mask to look more skull like with raised areas around chins/eyes. You can take a look at my wip and see, how I did

What 3d file are you using ? It looks like the one, that I used, and that can´t be approved unless you makes some heavy mods to it.
-
A natural weave fabric that drapes well - most uses silk, I used a silkblend that I found, that gave me the look for the draping and a different fabric for the sleeves to give it the right look.

When I started out with costumes back in 2012, I hadn´t done much sewing myself - and see me now For my Nihilus COFT I used a basic shirt pattern and made mods for the cross over for the tunics - you can also use one of your shirts to lay on the fabric and cut after that. The skirts are easy, the innerskirt is done with an elastic at the waist, just pull the fabric around you and take more fabric to get the voluminous appearance, remember the split. Same with the outer skirt The cape - I measured myself from top to floor, added about 30 cm more and drapped it for the right fit, before I made the knot, I sewed in snaps at the shoulders to hold the cape behind the shoulders. The obi - not hard either, take your meassurements at the waist and remember to add on for the closure, I use velcro for that. Same with the belt, I bought two leather pieces and 8 chicago screws + added velcro for the closure. WA makes some really nice costumes, but I prefer to save money and do as much as I can myself. I think my costume was made for about $200 in total with all the materials. I was so lucky to get the fabric with 40% of at my local supplier You can see my WIP here :

You can do it - Rome wasn´t build in a day

Hi I used a normal shirt pattern for the tunics and moded it so it fit - the same with the skirts, and just winged it, so sadly I don´t have an exact pattern for them.

Dan can perhaps help you regarding the soft parts and paint - you could try and write him a pm : https://www.theflagshipeclipse.com/forums/index.php?/profile/1834-danrodjr/&wr=eyJhcHAiOiJmb3J1bXMiLCJtb2R1bGUiOiJmb3J1bXMtY29tbWVudCIsImlkXzEiOjY0LCJpZF8yIjoyMzg3Nn0=

Hi Many uses the formed hood from Twi´lek Pam - I´ve just been approved with my COFT version and it can be used for both versions to get the support you need. It looks like this : + there is a very nice WIP with pictures of the back, that you can take a look at here :

I think I paid around 160 DKK for all the materials for the belt, and it is totally worth it to make it yourselves , you can save money and get the correct looking belt. Thank you so much - looking forward to seeing, how you put yours together.

Hi from Italy! I need some help for Darth Nihilus COTF

You´re welcome My heart goes out to your country in this hard periode - it is horrible news we are getting - here in Denmark, we got closed down pretty fast, only food and medicin stores are allowed to be open. I am 3 weeks in a quarantine with my 2 sons - but also standing by for deployment if the Military needs me. Hopefully it will be better soon... You can use one of your own t-shirts as a pattern on the black fabric to cut after -
Here are a couple of pics from my build, perhaps it can help others with ideas as to how-to The belt I made myself - bought two leather belts 5 cm and around 1,2 cm + 8 chicago screws + velcro for the closure in the bag. Formed hood from Twi´lek Pam, primer and then painted it mat black Balaclava, one I already had. Outerskirt attached to the inner tunic (used a t-shirt for size and went from there) Innerskirt with an elastic waist with the split all the way down Cape - used velcro to attach it to the formed hood and then sew in a piece of fabric at the forehead to give it more the cat ear look. The ripped sleeves with 2,5 cm spaces between and sewn them inside the innertunic to give it a look of another layer as to the CRL Outer tunic made like the inner tunic but longer, as it should reach mid thigh The mask was a 3d print and it can´t be approved without heavy mods and reshaping of the form, which I did with auto paste, lots of shaping, sanding, primer and paint. It actually came out pretty well The blackout mask is bought online and painted black. Gloves was bought online, real leather formfitted and reach mid arms. Boots, also real leather and some I already had for my Visas Marr costume. And that is it - have fun everyone if you decides to jump in on this figure. It is a very nice costume and easy to move around in, and you can sit down !

Hi Welsome to the forum There are no patterns up front to make this costume - I´ve just made mine from scratch and I used the pictures from the CRL to guide me. I took a t-shirt for size when I made the tunics, the innerskirt is "just" a skirt of fabric with an elastic waist with the split all the way down, the outerskirt is made like the innerskirt but with the larger opening + I attached it to the inner tunic for a better fit. The obi is a double layer of fabric with velcro closure. The hood/cape - I bought the formed hood from Twi´lek Pam and this one took me more time to make, then all the other pieces LOL - I went with velcro to attach the fabric to the hood, and then I sew a piece in front of the hood to give it the cat ear look and snaps on the shoulders of the outertunic to attach the cape and hold it in place behind the shoulders. Regarding the mask - I had a friend make me a 3d, but it is not approvable without heavy mods, so I reshaped my mask. There are a couple of WIP threads that you can take a look at - and I would advice you to start your own to show of your progress and ask for advice if needed -
Thanks - well, I did have some trouble with the mask, first go at it had to be redone, since the paste wouldn´t harden, so I had to strip it and start over again. I think it came out okay, but when I get some funds in the future, I´ll buy the WA mask or hope on a better 3d version

Good news, LMO approved my costume last night - my 9th for the Legion...
-
That´s really nice of you, thanks - I hope so, otherwise my youngest son will get it as a younglings costume. He is almost 13 (April 1st.) and pretty much the same height as me

My friend has a super 3d printer, primer, lots of sanding, primer, more sanding, 2-3 layer of paint - my dad is a former car painter, and he is amazing with a spray-can (old style)
-
Thanks, hope so too - looking forward to seeing your build soon

The mask is not "skull like" enough - and no it is not a kotor style, it´s a 3d print of the COFT. I´m now trying to reshape it to give it more edge at the black marked circles + I´ve sanded the sides more and removed the red stripes, since those may not be raised. I´ve send my GML pics of my two tunics, so hopefully when the mask has set, got it painted and taken new pics, all should be good. There was no issue regarding my costume other than the mask, so that is good news. Going to look positive on this...
