  1. There is no singular good boot, but as I was just conversing with another applicant, modified biker boots tend to work. Cut the strap from the ankle area and relocate to the toe area if it is long enough or get another strap of material and bam, square toed boots that meet requirements.

  2. Apologies for delayed response! I would say the heel is a bit high, but if you can find a lower heel version and cut the straps/put the strap on the toe area, they will do just fine. These are regularly used in this style of boot given the squared toe.

  3. Medical conditions (such as visual impairment) are not a disqualifying factor. With such, you build the costume to the limit of those conditions.

Your best bet is to create a WIP here so that other Mara members and our Costume Advisors can assist you along the way. It is a lot easier to fix some things in the build process than it is once the costume is done.

  4. From what I have seen, the aviator cap is the annoying part because it varies depending on the version. Some have flat ear caps, some have puffy. Just have to make sure you line up the correct aviator cap version with the correct outfit, as they are not all interchangeable.

  5. Issue with Inquisitors is that theme is about as generic as it gets. Blacks, reds, and uniforms are there, but style, components, and accessories are too different to create and sort of generic foundation. We have seen many Jedi (hundreds) over the years, but only a handful of, "templates" for types of outfits and color variations that fit over the different classes of Jedi roles. The inquisitors only have a small number of members that we have seen, and every single one has looked different with different parts. If you try and create a template for the different versions, all you are doing are creating a CRL for each named character, similar to what we have now.

The Inquisitors (unlike, say, the Acoytes), are not meant to be a generic role, but a highly specialized and unique class of, "soldier" under Vader, himself.

  6. I think the chest area is a bit less rounded and more straight across at the top. Also, the front and back line up perfectly at the bottom.

Just make sure you get the details in the armor correct, and watch out for the coloring. It is an aged bronze, not just straight bronze, which would be too shiny.

  7. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about that texture too much. SWTOR isn't high res enough to validate most textures outside of, "matte", or "shiny" anyways. If this were like the Second Sister from the new game, I would say differently as that is damn near 4k quality, but all we're going to get is vague interpretations from SWTOR.

So, I would say just use a polyester or similar black fabric to get the smoother-yet-slightly shinier finish the majority of the screenshots show. I don't remember the name of it, but the polyester fabric I used for my regular Revan soft parts has that weird plastic fabric effect where it has the matte black but also a shinier and lighter color in light similar to what the game files do.

I know it was somewhere between a liner and a knit. Super soft to wear compared to other polyesters, but also super annoying to work with in that the edges fray a lot (which works in your favor for this costume).

  8. Here is a Cricut pattern for the Visas gold parts. The maker said that the ends should overlap if done correctly.
