The obi and belt should be enough to keep them closed. I sewed on a little velcro to help.

My head is on the larger side. I can see relatively well out of it, but I wouldn't recommend driving in it.

The skirts and cape should almost reach the ground behind you, so they should hide the zipper in the back pretty well. My zipper is on the inner side and they were approved. Personally, I prefer the boots you linked..
