  1. I haven't tried speaking to anyone with it all on yet so maybe I won't need it, but I was considering it. I figured the mic to be the real pain piece given the mask and it's proximity. We'll see after I've had some time to get a better idea with it.
  2. I've got the Wicked Armor Revan set. Just the cover mask. Nothing else around it. I thought it might be too easy to see a headset peeking about without a full helmet. Only thing I can think of is to disconnect the Mic and run it up through the shirt and have it connect inside the mask in front my mouth.
  3. Has anyone tried using any of the personal mic/speaker setups with Revan like the other armor characters use? Wearing the mask that seems closer to the face seems like it would be awkward to use the mic, and given that Revan doesn't have any costume pouches I'm not sure where we'd attach the speaker. Wondering if anyone had tried something or worked out a system to help talk while dressed up. Thanks!
  4. I've seen a few Revan pictures looking like they are using the Shock from Ultrasabers. The CRL basically calls for Red or Red/Purple blade, and Gold or Brass on the Emitter (head) and pommel. It's not a 1 for 1 recreation of the one you can find on places like Vaders Vault but they are certainly more reasonable on cost even if you fill in the saber with all the higher end features. It's about 90.00 cheaper than VV from what I've seen. Saber Forge is about to make their version available again, the Fallen, through their Saberparts site, but it's a build your own and I believe you have to assemble it yourself if you go that route. I'm leaning mostly to the Shock LE at this point simply because of cost and Ultrasabers excellent reputation. Later I may replace the pommel with their Archon since it gets it a little closer to looking the same, but that's probably a bit nit-picky.
  5. My boots and shirt are coming in this week. There is nothing particular about the rings for submission other than they be present for now. I'll probably work on upgrading them to something better after that is done at least.
  6. I'm assuming you mean you hot glued the clasps? You didn't glue the rings themselves right? Also, do you use an Ultrasaber / Saber Forge prop? If so, are you using one of the rings to hold it when not in your hand?
  7. Greetings fellow Revanites, I'm looking for methods anyone may have used to upgrade the 12 hanging rings around the armor. Currently I have those keyring type rings on simple strings that seem to be the starting common look. Mostly what I'm looking for is a better method of holding the rings than simple string. I think I saw one post where someone switched to eye hooks? Has anyone tried small leather straps or something of that nature? A secondary reason is once I pick up one of the Fallen Saber Forge hilts I'd like something to attach it to I'm not afraid is going to snap off easily. We don't have a standard belt like a number of costumes so I'm figuring a saber clip isn't going to be so easy to incorporate. Can anyone offer suggestions or point to previous threads that may have been helpful? Thanks!
  8. Greetings all, I'm Kevin. Calling in from the New Orleans area and hopefully soon be a full member of the Bast Alpha Garrison. I'm working to finish up a Revan outfit at the moment while my wife is working on a Barriss Offee for the Rebel Legion. I've been reading over the forums for some time now before signing up and looking forward to being able to talk with others.
