  1. This is from our Wisconsin Garrison Discovery World event. The Awesome Dave Dorman! Some more Discovery World pics. Changed out to my TKC for awhile. School fundraiser.
  2. Parsley, Overall your build looks good. Couple things I did notice. 1. The weathering seams to be a bit excessive, just a suggestion, paint your armor a solid color and do a dark wash to show the armors detail. I don't believe their armor is that weathered. 2. Looking closely it seems the cannister is not fully painted. Looks like I can see the resin base material. 3. I would paint the inside of your shin armor towards the knee area, depending on how you stand or move you can see the white of the ABS showing. 4. You seem like you have a slimmer build, can't be sure from the photo but it looks like your thigh armor fits loose on the bottom. I would suggest posting some photos without the cloak. Overall looking good.
  3. Your build looks amazing. Can't wait to see it all come together.
  4. Not sure either on the fabric that Slave1pilot used. It's a heavy fabric, almost a curtain or an apolstry style fabric. I love the way it hangs and drapes around me and the texture is spot on. I've had so manny complements on the cloak. If you find the name of that fabric you need to le us know.
  5. Excellent start! Don't get discouraged if you run into issues. We are here for you.
  6. Love the drawing! Welcome to the Flagship.
  7. Not to jump on your thread Wolfgang, I've done two things for my shoes. First I tried using black shoes but that did not work to well for me. The shin and calf armor together are fairly heavy and tended to slip down and the bottom of the armor rubbed against my ankle and it became painful. What I finally went with is a hiking style boot that was a high ankle version. This gave support to the armor and stopped the armor from rubbing on them. I now can wear the armor for hours in comfort.
  8. The robes are the ones Slave1pilot mentioned about. Yes the texture is pretty spot on, I absolutely love the robe.

    Kit

I highly recommend Wolfgang's kit. Well worth the money. I love the armor!
  10. On August 3rd I was married to a wonderful and beautiful woman. Julia and I had a great time planning this wedding we wanted it to be fun and memorable. It was not formal and our guests were to come in what was comfortable, which meant shorts and flipflops or their favorite characters. So we had People from Hogwarts there and from the Deathstar and everything in between. Thank you everyone for making this the best day. Dan Bergeron SL/TK 3967, Julia Bergeron ID59548, and Paige Bergeron CSA0436 Wisconsin Garrison. What no gifts? It's not a party unless Vader shows up. Our rings. Vader snuck in a kiss. Our Steampunk officiant. My beautiful wife and daughter.
  11. What I did was first primed my armor pieces black. The actual metallic paint I used is from Auto Zone an automotive parts store. It's called Dupli-Color Perfect Match Ford color. The reason I went with auto paint is that it is fast drying, hard coat, and there are many options for metallic colors.
  12. I also have the same mask from Slave1pilot, I could not get the back to fit on my head properly either. I decided to make a strapping system and just use the mask part of it. I've done three troops now in it and the temperature has well been in the high 80-90 and I'm kinda glad I just had the mask. With the balaclava, latex neck seal, heavy cloak, and mask on it was very warm. It was nice to be able to quickly lift the mask and get a drink of water. There is no room in there for fans like my TK bucket. The back of the helmet is nice but with your hood up you will never see it.
  13. Awesome armor, I love it! Can't say enough good things about it. Very easy and nice to assemble. I'm 6'2" 190lbs. and it fit great, iI've done two parades in it now and it's been very comfortable, in fact I will be getting married in it on August 3rd!
  14. Yes the armor, neckseal, and abdomen cover is from Wolfgang. The mask is from Slave1pilot.
  15. So I have finished my Lord Adraas build. Thank you Wolfgang for the great armor kit. I did get the cloak hemmed up today.
  16. This is awesome! A workng CRL. Now for my armor to get here so I can get it together!

    Pouches?

Ran into these pouches at military surplus store these may work, they are very nice and well built.
  18. She is already a member with her Jawa costume, just need to get this one in to add to her profile.
  19. Well her costume is finished. I'm happy with how the stripes turned out. Her first troop in this costume will be this weekend. Her Jawa. And my wonderful daughter and I. Hope everyone liked the pics as much as I enjoyed building it.

    Pouches?

Yeah I had a heck of a time trying to find pouches that would work. Spent a lot of time searching the net and all I could find for pouches these days are cell phone cases.... I finally checked Evilbay and found some vintage shotgun ammo pouches that I'm hoping will work. These are "Voight" shotgun belt pouches, they were meant to hold five shells each. I know this may not help much as these pouches are old and most likely are not made anymore. I also looked at some military and law enforcement supply sites and seen some double handcuff holders and such that may work. These are the pouches that I plan on using.
