Hi! Congratulations on your two year anniversary in the Legion. You’ve picked an amazing Sith costume- the Acolyte! (Be prepared for fans to debate whether you are Vader or Kylo. Haha)
It seems like you have made a lot of progress in finding your materials. The Mynock’s Den armor is beautiful. I don’t have any advice on the undersuit- I just use my TK suit.
One question for you- did your order the robe with the red stripes sewn onto the sleeves or will you be painting those on yourself? The sewn on stripes are able to be approved, but I personally enjoy the appearance of painted sleeves myself. Here’s the paint I used, on the advice of others in this group.

I’m enjoying seeing your progress. A question- what will you do to create the grooves pattern on the thighs?

much appreciated for the feedback! Sorry about the delayed response, I have been busy finishing up pre-reqs for nursing school (which start in 1 week). This will probably be a very slow build but will do my best to update it when I have things to let you all see!
We look forward to seeing your pics! It’s hard to balance real life with a costume build, but I hope you find pleasure in the process.

It’s coming along nicely! It’s cool to see the pieces on you with the test fit to see how it all works together.

I’m excited to see another member who is building this armor. I look forward to seeing pictures of your progress!
I don’t have much experience in the 3D print world. Is that something you have much experience with?

I think the finger armor looks good.
From your picture of the thumb armor it is hard to tell how long it is. Do you think it’s long enough to match the reference images?

Hola!
That is great that you are getting a second one without additional cost!
My mom made my robe, and she also found the seamless hood to be the most challenging part. I hope yours goes well and I look forward to seeing pictures!

I havnt done anything to prevent the hood from falling but i saw Taras (MynocksDen) placed a small square of velcro on the top of the helmet and inside the hood and guess thats been working for him. i was going to try that out too
Hope that helps
Andy
Awesome! Let us know how that works out please.

It was fun to see some of your reference images and to examine the details. Thank you for sharing them! It inspires me to go back and watch the trailer videos again.
I agree that some of there are some differences in the details. When the video game first came out, I believe this full body image from an interview done with Blur Studios (I haven’t seen the interview myself) was used as an important reference as people started constructing armor.

Thanks @TK Keith!! I personally like the hood up, Makes it look more mysterious.
How about yourself?
Andy
I always wear it up and I totally agree- it takes our awesomeness to a whole new level!
Have you done anything to help prevent the hood from folding back from the wind?
I originally had some magnets sewn into the hood where it rests on my head which attach to magnets in the mask. However in a few recent parades the hood was still blowing back some, much to my annoyance. So my mom sewed more magnets into the hood closer to my forehead to keep it on place. In a recent troop they seemed to work out well.

Looking good!
Out of curiosity, do you think you’ll troop more with your hood up or your hood down?

Hi Antonin, I think it’s looking good so far! The pics that are straight on are definitely the most helpful for viewing.
How much time are the pieces taking you to create?
-
Hi Justin!
I looked over the 3D Props NL pictures as well and I think the armor looks good. Overall I am impressed with the level of detail.I'm not sure if they are missing the shoulder bells or the elbow armor. This image seems to indicate that the narrow piece could be the elbow armor because there appears to be something above the forearm, but I'm not positive.
I also noticed the thigh has some layering that I'm not familiar with. Here's a reference shot and the area that stood out to me in the 3d print.
While there do appear to be some layering differences, I think the thigh still definitely retains the overall appearance. Perhaps @DarthValkyria can chime back in about whether the typical GML would approve this. Or maybe that would be a good question for your garrison GML?

Amazing Picture of you three!!! wow!!!
Thank you so much for your feedback. As of writing this, im still hunting for the Boots and neck seal so your findings will help tremendously.
For the Robe, im close to commissioning it from a seamstress that Taras provided me and the Belt Pouches from Bobby over at DarmansProps.
Will post pics once i get them
Andy
Thanks Andy. I was stoked to have another Acolyte to troop with.
Cant wait to see your robe!
