  1. What brand and type of paint is everyone using to get the nice dark metallic look for their armor? My first go was with automotive paint, but it still appears a bit too light.

  3. http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=46539 I just had Freya make me one. Looks great!
  4. I officiated a Star Wars wedding on Monday night in Dallas. My bass player married his bride as a stormtrooper. She was a fem trooper. My wife showed off her WIP Talon. She's on here at TexasTwi-lek. She wore pants to be a bit more conservative out of respect for the wedding. We made her armor from PVC.
  5. Are we going to adopt anything from the CRL they posted on the 903rd board http://903rd.proboards.com/index.cgi?bo ... thread=267 Regardless, I'd like to know how to do the black wash effect on top of silver. Anyone have any good tips?
  6. Wow, quite a bit of difference between the two.
  7. Thanks Katie! I'm a cloak (being worked on by LadySewForUs) and a few modifications away from being complete. - Definitely need to bring up my cod and butt piece a bit and tighten my thighs, but here's me so far:
  8. 15 minute fix! : ) Cheers!
  9. Here's my progress with Kevin's armor and Wolfgang's mask:
  10. Dear those in charge : ) Since the 903rd board is not considered 501st friendly, is there any chance that the Sith Acolyte could or will become part of this detachment? I apologize if this has already been covered, but I have almost completed an acolyte costume and thought it would be cool to have that costume registered as well. Thanks in advance! Cheers, Steve TK-9727
  11. The eBay and email are both for Brian. Super nice guy. I have already put in an order for armor from him and have also comissioned Debbi (Ladysewforus) to sew the soft parts. I agree with Pam though. Best to make posts that say PM me for contact info. I'm glad to share, as I did on the 501st boards, but let's keep the contact info as non-decript as possible in public areas. Loooking forward to putting it all together and getting approved here as I did on whitearmor.net with my TK!
