Nhilius in KOTOR? he is not in KOTOR

Why do we refer as Nihilius from KOTOR in the CRL when Nihilius is not in KOTOR but KOTOR 2

It says in the context of KotOR 2. I believe the (KOTOR) under the title means its from the KotOR world/era.

Still think its wrong people would be more aware of it it it was lets say sandtrooper (RTOJ) or better scout trooper (ESB)

It is in reference to the KOTOR era or universe as he also shows up in the comic books, and other merchandise, in this style. Plus when they write the CRL's they allow for generalizations here and there. Better to spend time working on as many CRL right ups for more characters, than agonizing over tiny little details on one character. That being said, when people ask where my character is from I usually just say the KOTOR 2 video game as that is his most well known appearance.
