how to secure the cape

wassup all, im attempting to secure the cape without it falling at all. i was wondering if everyone was just useing the buckles to fasten it to the armor or is there another elastic/button way on top of the buckles to the armor ?

I use the buckles that attach to the top part of the chest plate. I added strong silver claps which hold the weight

thats what i was going to use.. just wondering if there was an alt way

I'm actually still using the original velcro 40 troops and a couple years later. I should upgrade but it's lower on my to-do list. I put safety pins in the velcro a long time ago because it never stayed attached to the ribbon.
