I've already bought an EL wire but it seems to be low light :( I can make a LED circuit for solving the problem.
The big problem is shaping the visor if I use acrylic sheet
    !

But since I love Clones, i would like to see it 💖

Ya, EL wire is pretty dim. The 3mm stuff is sufficiently bright tho, especially on smaller visors...A pixel strip would definitely be better if you can get it diffused properly to avoid the corncob effect.

My original clone visor was a clear face shield that I put mirrored blue tint on. The tint didn't work out so well so I ended up going with a mirrored scorpion motorcycle visor. Per request, here's a close up pic of my clone helmet. Compared to the Christmas lights in my shoulder attachment, the EL above my visor is pretty dim, but it still gets the job done

  2. For my clone I used EL wire...EL wire is really easy to use and can be cut to length to run around the entire perimeter of the lens.

The one downside to EL wire is that some people hear the quiet ringing which is a function of the EL wire that makes it work. Not everyone can it tho (I've spent too many hours on the gun range and my tinitus blocks it out), but it is there. As for diffusion, I'm not sure how to accomplish that and keep the visor see thru. you can sand the the outside of the EL wire to make it more opaque rather than clear and sanding the edge of the visor before you glue the EL wire in place might also help. I would also recommend that you put black electrical tape on the inside, covering the EL wire completely. The reason for this is 2-fold, it keeps the light off your face and in the dark and it also keeps the light out of your eyes so you can still see out of the visor.

Hopefully this helps, please feel free to reach out if you have specific questions

  3. Good evening..er morning?

I am the costume mentor that oversees this particular costume (all the SK costumes in fact). The Sith Stalker unfortunately is a pretty rare one and one that has not gotten a fully completed CRL as of yet. All of the pictures are there, but there isn't any write up for him. I would recommend taking a look at the pics posted in the CRLs (link below) as a jumping off point and I will see what I can do about getting the CRL updated. In the meantime check out the board located under the Sith Legends section of the 501st approved costumes board for all the SK builds, you might find someone there that has finished this costume and can provide specific insight.

Good luck in your build! Please feel free to reach out to me if you any questions and I will do what I can to lend a hand getting this costume done

Take a deep breath, accept the inevitable heat death of the universe, and honker down while you gather the full 360 degrees of reference screenshots from the stuff for him. Does he have many differences between GoH and FU? If so, it'll be a new CRL, if not, it's just Starkiller.

I believe he's referring to the Heavy Training Gear (at least that's my translation of HTG).

If so, I look forward to seeing your progress! I've been sitting on mine for FAR too long and maybe seeing your progress will get me up off my butt and finish it. Good luck on your build! please let us know if you need any help.

  5. Sorry to hear about your issues with your GMLs, I personally think you look freaking awesome! This is one on my costume "to do" list and I'm hoping some parts of my generic Tusken (boots, arm wraps, head) can carry over to Hett eventually.

  6. Been watching this build for a while now & I gotta say it has been a pleasure watching it come together! Second Sister is a great character and you have an amazing job bringing her to life, the quality of your work on the soft parts is inspiring and I look forward to seeing this one finished!

  7. Just did some digging and even Vader's Vault's version is similar to the one that US sells. If the biggest issue is blade color, you can get any US hilt with a purple blade or you can swap the color of your current blade to purple fairly easily.

  8. Unfortunately, I cant weigh in on the width of the belts at this time as I am fairly unfamiliar with ins and outs of this particular costume, but as far as teh buckles go, I would check thrift/goodwill stores for belts first, you might be able to find a belt that has the buckles you're looking for. Another option would be to make them yourself out of sintra or even metal if you have the tools available. I have also seen folks 3D print buckles very similar to those, with files found on thingiverse.com.

    Hopefully this helps!

  9. KB Props on Facebook is actually where you wanna look for Imperial Knight armor.

As Far as the soft parts go, you're probably going to have to make them yourself as I don't believe any one makes them specifically for the IK. Per the CRLs (link below), you CAN use a Vader undersuit as it has the quilted sleeves, but you will still need to add the tabards to it.
