Googles are ready !! I made molds and used casts as final frames. Bridge and side adapters are covered of leather patches for more real look of goggles.

DL-44 blaster. Flash hider is made as trial version. It will be changed for aluminium item.

Hi everyone I'm Piotr "Merr-Sonn" from Poland. Costuming I started in 2009 when I pmade first costume of Swamp trooper for my son. Then I made Boba Fett for him. http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f20/boba ... boy-37198/ I realised that time for my own costume. I worked on my own project of mandalorian pilot. http://mercs.firespray.net/forum/index. ... ic=37114.0 I made also mandalorian helmet prototype ("clear" and dented) and molds (of course till now I made some runs of helmets for my friends in Europe ) . So I was able to make many variations of helmet till I made my mandalorian pilot helmet. It is quite good, isn't it ? . Current project is Mara Jade for my wife. I prepared first (fast) version of MJ for a trial (in a hurry) because Pyrkon convention was coming. It was "her the first time" (of course about trooping) And we all together Now I'm replacing parts of costume to end version. First item made again is harness. It is made of stainless steel to have whole metal parts of harness of the same metal. Now it looks very real. Next steps are: - full aluminium lightsabre hilt. perhaps I'll make light/sound, blade can be removed and attached easily, so the hilt can be worn at the belt. Now I'm waiting for ready made parts of hilt from "my" turner. I spent 20 hours on photos/comics analyzing, measurement, drawing to prepare my own blueprints of hilt . I'm very hopefull that it will be high level item - DL-44 - made of plastic replica (less weigh) with some aluminium parts: side construction of viewfinder, barrel with "whistle" - new boots - shin guards (i want to modify shin guards of blackhole trooper) - new gogles. I know that current biker gogles are acceptable in 501th but I want to make (from scratch) new ones exactly like in comics. - new jumpsuit . Now we have fabrics for it and searching for good tailor . We want to make whole MJ costume in 2 month and send application to 501th. It is horrible - my wife will be earlier in 501th than me !!!
