  1. Sounds fine. Check relationships between other parts got get a good scale. If gathering the tabard be sure and do that first to compare its final position to the plate instead of where it is now (the vertical creases would be nice and it could be a little wide atm).

  2. Yes, LMO team has been notified and will discuss.

EDIT:  If she submits adequate photos we can asses it. As it stands the current images are just con pics. Fun but not enough to asses the costume with proper feedback. A solid build of the costume would be fine for approval. As it is a "New to the Legion" a CRL would need to be drafted as well for inclusion. Keep us in the loop as to the progress of the build and a draft of the CRL.

  3. Check the reference and how much they contrast from the boot and or arm wrap. It should be less so. They can see seen but aren't much different in colour/value from what they're on top of.

As Brita noted perhaps a wash of acrylic or something could tweak what you have to be a solid match, thanks.

  4. Be sure and scrutinize reference. The metal pieces are shaded, not so dirty looking.

The arm wraps and front of the shin armour are not solid black, though they have dark spots they are generally lighter / more grey with tonal changes throughout.

On the cowl, be sure it is reasonably fitted and you can get into it. Look forward to seeing your progress there.

  5. LadyB uses Ben Nye cakes, applied with a natural sponge. I think the colours she liked best (layered) are Geisha and porcelain.

For the tattoos she uses a pencil to sketch it out and then a thicker eyeliner crayon to fill in.  She has also used a cake style one for that too, but we like the pencil for control.

  6. Who is the "they" of which you speak? She is in some scenes where the light makes it brownish, but I wouldn't say that is the natural hue based on any evidence.

Here she is seen in low light with a yellow green cast to it. That is from the sabers not the fabric though.

  7. Keep in mind the tube sabers that had been on the standard are an approximation and should not be used as primary reference. Either way, because of some local laws it is an optional accessory. So the 3d printed ones would be fine, lights and blade or no. Be aware the blade may cause it to split along the layers if it does have one.

Also, for the vambrace straps, i did find this online, and was hoping to get everyones thoughts on them. If they wouldn't work, i will manufacture some out of sintra for now, and continue searching for metal buckles.

I would say no. The ones on this costume have a smaller inside and are shaped differently.

I have been watching and will share if I can find something that would be a decent match.
