  1. I was very happy with using a mixture of black and silver metallic acrylic paints, sponge-painted on the leather. I had to play around with the mix a bit.

Think I may end up doing that

  2. Very nice. Guess im going to go buy for that guy to now... Bracers and hand gaurds need replacement. Well the Bracers(gauntlets) do as MWA were to small TT_TT. But that mask as well AH im in love!! hides the sides of the face which is big!

  3. So a little update. (now that i am following my own post TT_TT)

My costume all but came apart on a troop. Luckily a fellow member had some super glue. So now i have the best reason to crack down on this.

I also plan to be more active on the forums! yay

  4. Hi!

What version did you buy from Wicked Armor? I have the deluxe version and made some adjustments also. Your black sash looks a bit tight indeed from what I can see in the picture.

Wich is an awesome picture by the way :)

I have the same problem with the hakama. It was to wide at the back. I made soms buttons allong the back to close it better.

Things I've changed to my costume:

-replaced the straps for real leather, wich I've colored silver and weathered. When attached back on the armor I also lowered the ring a bit.

    -replaced the O-rings

-replaced the clasps on the chest.

-replaced and stitched the velcro at some points.

-stitched velcro on the front of the cowl, so it stays in position better.

    Things still to do:

-replace the shoulder straps for an easier click system and better/wider straps.

-replace the straps on the capelet.

-stitch velcro on the other end of the black sash for easier attachement.

-replace the red sash for better quality fabric.

-remake all the soft parts for better quality fabric and with better measurements.

Here's a pic how my costume looks like at the moment.

Very nice.  Just found out i had replies to this! (messed up on making it tell me when their are replies!

I got the delux version of Revan. I think it was your topic that initally made me want to upgrade.

Just get some more leather straps to  bring the ring  lower .. I did that for mine

any advice on leather? I have very very little experience and wouldnt know where to start or what to get!

  5. So im trying to figure out where to get some leather to remake the straps holding the Ring to the armor. I have a MWA armor and wanted to see if anyone had some advice on how to REMAKE them. I have this big idea on how to i want to improve my armor but having a hard time finding some leather for it or material like leather.

    Any help is much loved!

  6. I love the sound of my sound but at most events most people can not hear it TT_TT turning on and off are the loud parts but swinging it not really heard. I kinda regret buying the sound for my 2 revan sabers. (ultrasaber)

Disclaimer  Sound also drains the batteries faster. I get about 1 hour with my sabers on before i have to change the batteries. Batteries for mien are special ones and not the normal AA's but Trustfire i believe which have a higher charge/amp.

  7. Amazing job. You have inspired me to do the same!

First a few questions. Is your skirt (from wicked armor) go around your entire waste? Mine falls short so i just pinch it close with some velcro (about 80-90% around my waste the cape hides the fold over. but on windy days i have to have the sash hold the cape to me (idk even know which side its supposed to be on have the time lol (inside i know but i have to hide that defect TT_TT)

This might be one of the parts i have to redo (once i find out how to make it TT_TT)

Just from my own personal experience i think i need to do the

    black drap/shash  remake (to small)

redo the leather looking part that holds the ring (as mine is to short! so the ring is normaly on the armor not under it TT_TT and the sash ends up hiding the smaller rings TT_TT my details!)

Maybe connect the rings to the cape (just looks cooler!)

Might even sew the folds into place on the shoulder part.

    New skirt!

    LOL thanks for the inspiration!

  8. SO my revan is from Wicked armor. And i noticed the ring is not low enough (and the straps keep coming unglued!) So im thinking of remaking them. anyone have experience remaking this and can give me some advice?

    Example Picture

    11140206_10152818718746722_8914064286944

The cloth belt part is also to small  so ill need to remake that.

Also a question for those who also got wicked armor. The skirt does yours go all the way around your waste or like 90% and you have to drag the rest connected. I think he might of just got my measurements wrong (as my gauntlets are almost to small as well!)

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Think i'm going to do the following Just from my own personal experience i think i need to do the

black drap/shash  remake (to small and hides rings)

redo the leather looking part that holds the ring (as mine is to short![as seen in the picture] so the ring is normally on the armor not under it TT_TT and the sash ends up hiding the smaller rings TT_TT my details!)

Maybe connect the rings to the cape (just looks cooler!)

Might even sew the folds into place on the shoulder part.

    New skirt!

The shoulder straps i might add into a buckle system (as another post on here did! smart idea!)

  9. I have a few strips to where my nose will land but it is squished. Sometimes i were the mask little to the sideso my nose has room and i just have to keep my head to the side a little bit so the mask is still facing forward. Overall this isnt an easy costume to were for more than a few hours. (i have the sweater TT_TT and it gets hot !)

  10. This is not the topic to reply to get the cards!!! This is a link to the topic!!

The has been reopened, and we will once again try to keep it open and ongoing for as long as possible.

Greetings SLD and Flagship Eclipse members,

With the initial 70 now completed and another volunteer stepping up, we'll move into Phase III of this card run. :D

Note: we only produce the artwork files; each member will be responsible for the printing and quantity of their own cards.

What do we need from you?

    1. High resolution (300dpi or greater) photos for the front and back side of your card (you do not have to have a true "bucket off" photo on the back if you don't want to).*

    2. Name, TKID, and all other information you would like to have on your card.**

    3. Background choice (If you wish to make your own background, that's fine, but again make sure it's at least 300dpi.)

    4. Your Garrison's high resolution logo (if you have access to it).

    Where do you send it?

Please send all pictures and information to thxboy at REDACTED!!! GO TO THE REAL POST.

    The process:

-After Chris receives your email, he will then assign you the next sequential number in the series. You do not get to choose your card number.

-When the initial draft of the card is completed, you will be sent a proof to review (.jpg). Changes are made and the proofs updated until everyone is happy.

-Once you are satisfied with your proof, you will then be sent the PDF printing files that you'll need to actually have the cards printed.

-The absolute best place we were able to find is a fantastic printer who does ship all over the world:

GotPrint.com (when you click the link, it takes you to the correct type of card to order: Collector Card)

Here's what options you'll want to choose:

Paper: 14pt Gloss Coated Cover with UV (C2S)

    Color: Color Both Sides

    Quantity: _____ (up to you)

    Printing Turnaround Time: Standard

    Round Corners: leave unchecked

UV Coating: check mark this box

File Delivery Methods: radio button on for Upload: Manual Proof 24 Hrs

Proof: Manual Proof 24 Hrs by eMail

    Shipping: _____ (up to you)

You'll then go on to an upload section to upload your card artwork (which will have "A" for front and "B" for back indicated on your PDF file names). Next you'll go to an Add to Cart section, and finally to Checkout & Purchase. It's that simple! If you would like cards from other members, please feel free to trade them here on the board or in PM/e-mails.

*The photos you submit must be in high resolution of at least card size (2.5" X 3.5") and at least at 300dpi (dots per inch). Professional photos are ideal against a plain background, but not required. As long as they are high resolution, we can work with them.

**On the backside, there is a wide range of information you can provide to us. You can do a simple bio (as shown in the example below), or you can provide us with various other bits of information such as Callsign (username), Service, Other Costumes, Legion Member Since, Other Detachments, Squads, etc. For more examples of what you can do, please feel free to browse the completed cards in the Proof Thread: http://forum.501stsithlords.com/index.p ... topic=5636
