  1. In the top pic it looks a little baggy, almost hanging a little loose... as it nears the chest, something tighter might look a little better.

You can get a Balaclava with an attached diki to hide your chest, then just sew something you can see though into the Balaclava,

  2. I may experiment with with some changes, though this based off the comic book and unfortunately the comic artist tend to take shortcuts and don't differentiate well. While it would make sense to follow a Tusken style wrap the discrepancies between comic pics alone make things tough to decipher. in some pics he has wrappings around the blood spitters in others they aren't there, and in some the wrappings look like they go between the eyes, but it's hard to tell.

Though on that note, we should prepare for the new Hetts that may arrive so they know what to look for. I would certainty suggest any Hett costumers take a close look at the Tusken face, that makes the most sense for Hett, and Tusken face is more defined then Hetts.

The leather under everything looks pretty dark, it almost appears to wrap around the the eyes and blood spitters... Hmm I did order a second mask kit, so maybe I can experiment with the under leather and wrappings and see what I can do. Fortunately my face place is removal from the rest of the head so I can swap faces, even lenses if I want too... I may try a whole new style for the head though... It's the face that intrigues me the most however.

  3. I think that this is very good news. I myself am the holder of this costume for more than a year, my photos have been sent application to my garrison GML. Hopefully I'll be number 2

Do you have any pics of your Hett?

I'm really glad Hett is a 501st now, he is one of the few that has the hair I need!

Yea, that braid is my own hair.

  4. My early researches ended like this:

    4. Surviving Order 66 he refuged to Tatooine taking the lead of a Tusken warband to get their teriitories back - Helmet ON | Krayt Clan

(this is a revamp and repost of an early post I made on Krayt Clan forums)

Krayt flat out refused Hett, would have made more sense for him to be counted among the Tusken, as a Tusken warlord he has the DZ designation, but that decision was made, and it's the Krayt Clans loss. What matters is that A'Sharad Hett is 501st official now, doubt it will be a popular costume but it was worth the time, and I think it turned out well. Though where it goes from here, I cannot say... Happy that the build is done and official... Little sad it's over. Onto the Snowie and then who knows...

  5. Well it's something to keep in mind, bu from the looks of things, Hett will be my last major costume... I'm finishing of my snow trooper and I think that's it. I'll keep Revan in mind, most of that stuff is just common sense bits anyway.

  6. I am approaching my costume limit, so figure my last one should be an EU... Nice balance 5 EU and 5 Cannon, and Revan has always been a favorite Sith Lord, so I am looking at the way of Myth Revan, I wanted to see if anyone had first hand experience with the costume Rob makes... I am not sure exactly what parts he is referring to in his e-mail. So if anyone has first hand experience any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am wondering how accurate the costume is, and what if any mods it would need for 501st approval.

  7. Well previous LMO basically said the only viable A'Sharad Hett is the on in "Claws of the Dragon" which is the build I intend to follow. The lack of consistency in comics can be extremely frustrating, what with respirator/moisture trap appearing and disappearing, and the claws ranging from 5 to 7, but thus far I believe I have the soft goods down, the style and the colors. I am currently speaking with my GML, Garrison XO, and the new LMO's on the possibilities of A'Sharad Hett being applied the DZ designation.

Thus far I have some agreement on his DZ possibility, and if you read the comic it is obvious he considers himself a Tusken, I do not believe the color of his light sabers means anything more then, that is what he had at the end of the clone wars and that is what he stuck with, obviously he has not gone complete Sith, but he has already started down the path. In fact his first light saber was indeed red, though I doubt the viability of the "out lander" version. Of course I have stuck with the comic for my information, wiki's are useful, however any information is suspect. All source images have also been draw from the "Claws of the Dragon" TPB.

With my Shadow Scout out for painting and my TB currently out of the loop, this keeping me busy.

  8. This is from a comic that just came out... I love his style, but I've gotten myself mired into a Shadow Scout, a Tusken, A'Sharad Hett, and I'm looking into armor for Darth Nihl... Plate is a bit full.

All the same, he would make an interesting costume, now there is one where he is wearing a mask that looks like metal bars that encircle his face with spaces in between, but the cloth is still the same.

And I recently took up a position as an EU adviser in my Garrison, so I have made it my mission in life to keep the LMO's bus. ;>

  9. I like the way the Gabardine turned, I'd be interested to try the silk but with four separate costumes on my plate at the same time, I have to slow down. Never seen a voice changer that came anywhere near Nihilus, but you can easily find the looped sound track... Still has the effect, last time I was out for a PSU thon, most of the students were too afraid to get pics. ;>

I have no Visas Marr though ;<

The voice changer I have has a crappy mic, so I'm going to look into re-wiring a a plug into it so I can use a throat mic, but when I was talking to another Nihilius, he mentioned a breast plate he wears under everything and it has a box that holds the box perfect, and ya don't sound like yer talking out your @ss. ;>

  10. I wear a voice changer that makes my voice sound, like it's being dragged through gravel, I've also taken to wearing an MP3 player that loops the Nihilus sound track. Another Nihilius costumer I've talked to uses this combo and managed to freak a Vader out. ;>

  11. I picked up a copy of the Knights of the Old Republic comic... blood of the empire... And Teneb Kel caught me eye, I rather like his outfit. Although with the addition of the mask he could be Darth Thanaton. Of course with the elections throwing a bone into everything, who know who is going to be making the decisions. And of course working on four costumes currently so my plate is full, but has anyone thought of this one?

  12. I have a copy of the comic in front of me now, so I have begun dissecting each piece of the costume. Of course, I've been told this version would be a denizen, which works for me... Of course with the elections going on, getting a new project going may be rough.
