  1. Oh man that's a bummer about the troop. I am not sure how long my lightsaber lasts as I have not taken it out on a troop yet. I really, really like the crowprops boots. Yes, I know they are on the upper end of price. I been out for 6 troops now and the longest I was on my feet with them was 6 hours so far. Great and comfortable. I did make mention I was going to need insoles as like 95% of my shoes I end up doing just that. They sent me some that was the exact cut of the boot. I felt if I was spending money on the costume, the last place to save a buck was the footwear.
  2. I am not sure. I sent pictures of the boots and back armor also. The hood was a little messed up and I could even tell from the picture, that one of the of rings got tucked in and that I needed to readjust the right side panel to get the rings more spaced out. I went and made sure to order from a verified source to avoid issues. As I wouldnt have been able to make the armor myself. Since I am having issues uploading photos from the home PC and phone. Here is the link I had with extra close ups and also I had included with my WIP thread. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14nd3PVv0QnaMq7_pwxuGMrYQie_MuW9R?usp=sharing
  3. I been approved. Did need to retake a picture of the hood. I managed to get it proper and was sort of hard to take the picture myself.
  4. I noticed the same things after Mom sent me the pictures. I fixed the velcro on the one side after I got home. Mom wasnt sure where the hood was supposed to be. As I had her fit it. I should had put the gloves on last but didnt. Thank you.
  5. I got help from Mom getting the photos ready. Not entirely sure I have everything done correctly though. Of course Mom was like I dont know if anything is out of place or not.
  6. I was asking around for help with photos. Going to get help from my folk. Since I am going to visit for Father's Day. It's like a 2 hour drive but hey at least I can get the photos and get it already for submission later.
  7. I think I have the costume set up now. I am just trying to get help with taking the photos as I cant really do it myself. One guy told me to get a professional photographer and I figured that was way too much. To get the required photos.
  8. I didn't take pictures of the gloves, pants and balaclava. As I felt the balaclava is just that and I ordered it in black. The gloves are from etsy as the medieval costume gloves, also in black. Pants are just plain bkack dress pants I found at goodwill with the tags still on. Waiting for the shipping to update now. I was having problems with photos uploading. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14nd3PVv0QnaMq7_pwxuGMrYQie_MuW9R?usp=sharing
  9. I need to get and take photos of what I have received so far this costume. Since the parts I been waiting for from Wicked Armor has been finished and been shipped to me. Oh I feel like its Christmas now haha.
  10. I decided to get the Crowprops Revan boots made. As I normally have all sorts of issues with boots. Figured ones fitted to me, will solve that. I also normally have to use inserts and gel inserts in my shoes. I made mention of that to sales and I was pleasantly surprised they also included inserts with the order. I felt that was a neat touch. I have only tried them on and took a some practice walks around the house with them. Waiting for the rest of the costume and looking forward to going out with it.
  11. I am waiting for my order from Wicked. Should be finishing up soon. I am very pleased with the boots from Crowprops.
  12. I have my boots in from Crowprops. I figured since I have issues with boots normally, chaffing the back of my heels and or not fitting right. I will invest in something that will fit me well. I tried them on and was pleasantly surprised how well they fit. First time ever actually having footwear sized to me. I mentioned to sales I would most likely need to place inserts in the boots. They also provided me a pair of inserts that were cut exactly as needed. Now just waiting for the rest of the costume from Wicked Armor.
  13. I need to take pictures of the boots. I missed the delivery on Monday by minutes, but got it sorted out and received Tuesday. I am really impressed. I tried the boots on, and they felt snug and correct. I can't comment on how comfortable they will be standing for long periods of time or walking yet though. I did make mention to the sales team I would most likely need to use inserts in the boots. As I end up having to do this with nearly all the shoes I buy. I was pleasantly surprised they provided inserts for the boots, and also cut to fit. They do have a zipper up the back and that is covered by a fold over leather strip that has velcro attached to hide the zipper. I know I paid more for them but footwear is something that I feel is bad to try and go cheap on.
  14. My boots from Crowprops shipped yesterday. I ordered at the beginning of the month. Took around 2 weeks or so. I was planning on taking pictures of them and noting the fit in my WIP thread. I can keep you posted if you like. This is the first time I will ever have had footwear actually made to my measurements before. I am hoping it will fix the issues I normally have with boots not fitting right and chaffing the back of my heels.
  15. Oh I am sorry. I forgot to add that information. I got it from Intrepid Dawn. I ordered it from Etsy.
  16. I was impressed with this Inquisitor and hope it gets a costume list.
  17. i seen boots like that when I was deciding on Cad Bane or Darth Revan. In the end I decided to order from Crowprops. As I never had good luck with boots. So I am hoping with boots being made to my feet measurements will be better for me.
  18. That is what I thought. I decided to go with one as it is far easier to keep track of one. I wonder if there is a way to get the lightsaber to "clip" onto the belt but will have to wait tell the armor is done to explore that idea.
  19. While I am here and don't forget. The gloves and balaclava has also arrived.
  20. I got this one: Darth Revan's 'Revanite' Neopixel Lightsaber or Baselit Lightsaber with Blade, Smoothswing Sound - 4 Hilt Colors. I made sure to get the hilt matching to the CRL and the picture is posted up above. I never had a lightsaber before so it will still be a learning experience. I felt Darth Revan from KTOR one is my goal, later can go for KTOR 2. If I feel confident about keeping an eye on two lightsabers.
  21. The lightsaber came in last week. Never had one before. Took me a little bit to figure out the way to make the blade change colors. Got it set to red. Didnt figure out the volume but guess lightsabers are supposed to be loud.
  22. Ordered the soft parts and armor placed with Wicked Armor. In a week or two, will pick up the balaclava, gloves and lightsaber. Not sure about the boots yet but may just get the crowprops ones, and pants will be easy as I have a pair of black dress paints that don't get worn too often.
  23. How is this lightsaber? I honestly dont understand the different lighting options. Darth Revan's 'revanite' Neopixel Lightsaber. Seems I cant post a direct link.
  24. I joined up with Jolly Rogers. They directed me over to correct tailors and places to go. I am really thinking of Darth Raven first.
  25. Oh, that's great to hear. I been tossing around Darth Revan, OT TIE Pilot, and R1/Solo/Mando TIE Pilot. As I have not gotten any confirmations on OT flight suit and the R1 TIE I need to source parts from more than one source. Which really weights more in Darth Revan and using Wicked Armor as the main source of the costume.
