  1. Last year, I made some 3D files for Darth Revan armor, to join the Norwegian Garrison. I had a lot of fun making my own costume and getting it approved. The armor was made based on the current CRL. After doing some minor fixes to the armor, I've now decided to share them with everyone that wants to make a Darth Revan. I've shared the files for free. The armor is made for my body, so If you decide to print it, you'll need to make sure to make them fit you as well. This is a nice way to get into making your own Revan armor. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

  2. Hello! I'm Runar from Norway! I just got approved this weekend, the night before my first troop! My process started a yeaar ago when I was a supporter at an event and when I got home I was like now it's time to start fulfilling the dream of becomming Darth Revan in the 501st Legon. I opened Blender and started modelling the mask, and through the year I've designed armor, 3D printed, sanded, painted and even learned to sew while writing my master's thesis, so that I could be a sith lord this weekend. It has been a journey and I've learned a lot, and I'm looking forward to using this costume a lot of times!
Also, my TKID is 75125. Since I'm a theologian, I would find it fun for my id to be a theological reference, so this is the dimensions of the Ark of the Covenant in centimeters, 75cm by 125cm.

  3. I'm now finally approved and member of the 501st Legion, so I would like to request detatchment access!

Also, I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this, but I'll do it anyway. I've registered here as part of the Nordic Garrison, but that garrison doesn't exist anymore, since the nordic countries have each made their own garrisons. So I'm part of the Norwegian Garrison, which is not on the list atm. Not sure if this is important, but will it be fixed in the future? Nevermind. Found the right place to post it.
    Thank you!

  4. Thanks for the feedback! The rings are the closest I could find localy. They are slightly larger than 2'', but I'd hoped that would work. I couldn't find any info on the ID on the CRL, but I do agree that they are thinner than most of the other I could see.

Also you're right I that need to weather the fabric. Forgot to mention that, but that's also on the to-do list.

If everything else is good then I'm one step closer!

    Welcome!

Just a heads up for the 3D modeling and 3D printing, you'll want it to look like this version. You can make it a helmet or have cheek plates on it, but I see a lot of people model the mask after the SWTOR style which is not correct.

Looking forward to having another Revan!

    Thanks!

Yeah I've followed the CRL while modeling the parts to make sure it'll be fine. Made a WIP post earlier today with some pictures of my progress.

Looking forward to join you guys!

  6. So I've decided that I want to do a Darth Revan costume and that I want to design the hardparts myself. So I started in the beginning of the year with modeling the parts and I've printed the mask, chestplate, backplate, abdomen, kidney and vabraces. And now I thought it would be a good idea to share it here to get some feedback and make sure that the parts looks good. I've included pictures of the mask, vambraces, chestplate and abdomen so far. 101770998_280322425_958933208111139_6277101694747843853_n(1).thumb.jpg.c3e10b3dd737cd4e0aaf96cd44fb98be.jpg

I based the mask off of the picture in the crl. I see that the lower part is a bit thicker than the Wicked Armor one. Hopefully it'll still work. The hood is not the one I'm planning to use with this costume.

The vambraces I made in two pieces, but then figured out it would be better to be in one piece, so I merged them together on one side.

The chestplate on top of the abdomen armor. I haven't painted these parts yet, but they are soon ready to be painted. The images on the crl looks very soft and low quality so I based them on the description rather than the pictures.

Here's just a WIP of the mask, so you can see how it looks when not worn.

Hopefully this is good enough so far, but critique is very welcome! And if someone wonders, I will share the files when I know that they are approvable for 501st

  7. Hello!
I'm Runar from Norway! I'm currently working on a homemade Darth Revan costume to join the newly established Norwegian garrison. My goal is to get approved before the next big event in november, so I'm working hard on it right now.

I have 10 years of experience with 3D modelling in Blender and 7 years of experience with 3D printing as a hobby. The last 5 or so years I've made tabletop and cosplay stuff for 3D printing. I'm also a Lego builder and I'm active in the norwegian Lego community. I just enjoy making stuff and I'm very fantasy inspired.

The reason I want to join 501st is that I was asked last year to join as support. And every time I've been supporting, I always want to have a costume as well.
