  1. what type of fabric paint did you get? On mine my husband just free hand painted the pattern on the sleeves and veil (his hands don't shake) so it doesn't have to be exact, but I did include the pattern just for a starting point so you'd have an idea of where to take it.

    I used this http://www.dickblick.com/products/jacqu ... -acrylics/ on mine. I hope this helps

    Hi Katie

I bought the Pebeo touch textile paint on tubes - but I just can´t get it to look right. I´ve tried with both the tube and with a pensel.

Yes and thanks, it was very nice of you ;)

Oki - I´ll just finish my new idea and see, how it will Work. I´ve drawn the pattern on a gold fabric and then cut it out - then I´ll transfer it to the dress and veil with textil glue.

    Pics will come later ;)

    Hugs

  2. Little update...

I´m having huge problems with the pattern on the veil and sleeves... is it okay, if I find a golden embroid lace with a smiliar pattern to sew on, or shall the pattern be exactly like the one on the pics ?

I´ve bought some fabric golden paint, but I just can´t get it to work on the fabric :(

Any help are more then welcome....

  3. Hello I love the work both of you have done, I've just started to get my VS unseen build together, have the boots gloves under dress fabric and gold fabric paint so far.

just need to find a pattern for the under dress and sleeves.

also I see Aysel you made the outer dress for her are you able to make another one??? for a future Australian Redback Garrison VS.

    Hi

    Thanks :D

I just used a pattern of a normal a-line dress for the inner dress and made the sleeves with the normal pattern, just streching it out to get the "wing"sleeves.

It´s a great outfit, and I´m really looking forward to getting this one finished... I´ve a bad back, so my Biker scout armor isn´t so comfortable after an hour or so, so I wanted to get an outfit, that wasn´t with a lot of armor and still look awesome for the kids to see.

I´m sure, that you will get a lot of help for this build, and perhaps you can talk Katie into making you one too

  4. Your outer dress is done!

you'll need to hem it up to the proper length and glue the seams down after a final fitting, but here it is, yay!

And still working on the veil....new plan of attack is working but it's opened up new stubbornness that's I've got to beat into submission. ^_^ no more stabby feelings ^_^ I'll post pictures of the fabric draft once I get a good one worked out ^_^

    ^_^

    Hi

I´ve just seen the message now and WOW you´re absolutely an angel !

Thank you soo much for making this for me - I can´t wait to get it all put together and sent you the pics. :D

He he yes, I´m still having nightmares about the veil - and I´m so happy, that you took the challenge on it.

    Again big thanks !!

    A lot of hugs

    Heidi

  5. Hi

Oki, this was only a test to see, if the paint was a go or no go - I´ve printet the pattern out in the right size and is going to draw it on the fabric first and then paint it. But I need to make sure, the size is right for the veil too, so I´m going to wait until I got it.

I´ll make sure to do, as you say regarding the boarder lines  thanks.

    How is things going ?

  6. So, finally my mum and I got to make a proto cut of the pattern for the inner dress, and it turned out really good, so today we cut the pattern in the real fabric.

Tomorrow my mum is going to help me sewing it together - just need a zipper for the back.

Think the color is quite spot on

  7. Thanks :D

He´s right now on redoing the weathering, since it as not so good. Thise pics are mostly just to see if we are heading the right direction.

The sleeves are quilted and with ribs on them

Super, I´ll make sure to get some better pics in front of a neutral wall, when he´s done with the weathering.

  8. This is how far, we have come... almost ready to do the approval pics...

Still needs to get the weathering redone, since it´s right now to much like a "halloween" costume" at the botton of the outerskirt and cape...

But other than that, how do you think it looks ??

  9. You need to take care of yourself Pam - the detachment aint going any where and we will all be here for you

I personally just want to thank you very much for your advices and help, you´re truly an inspiration :D

I hope that your decision will give you some peace to recover - I´m sure it will

    Hugs
