Very carefully remove the plastic silver covers try not to damage the leather straps. Once you done that cut the straps at the middle of the area that was covered by the silver plastic cover you just removed. Now measure where the ring should be and glue the silver plastic back working like extensions . The missing leather is then cover by the silver covers
If you did damage the exposed now leather straps use acrylic balck and silver to re paint it and bob is you uncle

One thing you will need to change as i also had to get it approved was the Big Ring in the in game reference it hangs lower than what MWA has placed it
you want the top of the ring to be the only part that is on top of the armour and the rest of the ring should hang just infornt of your private parts
just like this

H means Martin Miller
CRL model for TIE Starkiller

Are you building this ?
I am currently working on mine to you can find my WIP here

with regards to the question of the 3 perfect aligned folds again depends on if you are going for approval with your local garrison
so the safest thing to do is ask your local GML on EU
if he is here then he will be able to anser your question in this thread
.....................................
One thing that i do find hard is that do to the fact that each garrison judges its own local memebrs there are discrepancies on standars with some people getting approved with basic standars and other having to do loads of changes to meet the critiria

Well I know you have been supporting my claim that Revan should be allowed in the RL so from that point im sure they will come up with a final desicion on the sabers
but on the 501st CRL they show a completely different saber with no image reference to KOTOR II
You dont need a saber to get approved bu in my garrison UKG you can only get approved with the one from wookipedia
so it will be good to ask your local 501st GML
Remember that the 501st deals with approval by GML at a local level not world wide like the RL
so your best bet is contacting SOCAL Garrison GML for the right saber
-
what saber are you using?
there has been loads of threads on which one is revans saber
with wookipedia showing this one
or are you looking to do SWTOR saber
-
Hello There
Welcome to the Flagship Eclipse .. really looking forward to your WIP on Revan
-
Do you have an image of the saber you bought?
or could you post some images once you get it
Ta

nice how much was that ? i need a revan saber but i think we will make it from the costume saber shop parts
and follow this style of saber
-
Here are some images of last weekends comic expo
I was Revan hope you like them
-
OK so first coat of silver done its now weathering and attaching leather straps to the shoulders
-
First i built a mannequin so the armor could be casted for my body shape
Ok for the Saber this is my saber
from VV and JQ number 20 out of 25 in the world
Ok So a few updates from my armour work in progress
pictures from Mandalorian arsenal
He is doing an awesome job

I have to say that even though this costume doesn't truly match the reference images... it still reminds me of a work of art! It really is beautiful.
Pam
yes indeed its beautiful and sorry i said his i didn't know it was a woman
for that i have to say she has done an amazing job at her Revan costume. to bad its not canon
-
True
have you tried makoto Tsai ? he makes a cheaper version of the star killer saber
from 300 to 600 usd this is his face book page
https://www.facebook.com/makoto.tsai?fref=ts
if you are going to make one i have some pictures of mine in my website
hope they are of help for reference

Tfu starkiller are expensive i am the proud owner of number 20 of 25 on vaders vault first run. They are selling at 2600 usd now days
If you di get ine you will own history
-
l like the detail of the armour but i agree this Revan is not canon
also the clasps at the top will need to be replaced
to something like this
also the mask looks more like the mask used in SWTOR and not the KOTOR mask
another thing i can see is that his under shirt has a pattern texture like breathing holes
needs to be black solid no texture
-
Looking good
I am also a member of the RL and seen your Slave Leia and im sure you will rock this new costume
-
1. Congrats on being accepted.
2. I haven't seen your costume submitted to the Legion GML thread yet. Revan has to be approved by the LMO to get your SL and get your costume added to your 501st profile.
Not sure what happens behind the scene . my GML needs to contact the legion GML?
I did selected my SL id SL33961 but i am awaiting confrimation that the process has been completed
this is what my GML wrote to me
Yerrp, just see it in the main 501st UKG membership rota pending list.
For some reason your requested numbers were not there so I put in 33961 and 39613 and processed your request as 'Ready For Duty'.
Hopefully you should get a mail through pretty soon from the 501st confirming your processed and APPROVED application
I'll keep an eye out on my side and if I see any problems I'll give them a kick up the backside and gee them up to get it sorted.
Take care mate

.Dear Alan Molina,
Your clearance submission for the costume of 'Darth Revan' has been reviewed by the GML.
Congratulations! Your costume has been cleared for trooping. We are pleased to welcome your Darth Revan into the ranks of the UK Garrison.
Sith Lord status in the 501st !!!!

I actually think the way your cowl lays open is perfect..
Thats what i thought to
In the RL we have judges for the whole RL not Garrison based
this way all standars are the same
this is what i need to do from my GML
"The ring that the red sash hangs from needs lowering so that the top is only just sat on the abs armour.
The hood needs an alteration making so that it is more of a cowl, having an connecting piece of fabric at the bottom, runing along the chest just above the armor.
The undershirt also needs a seam running horizontal across the upper chest."
I did asked for images to do this because i could not find this on the CRL
by en-zozallow » Mon, 25 Mar 2013 6:26 pm
And yes i have a back plate . So for the cowl is that the same material of the hood just wrAp behind the armor or do i need to get more material
I cant really see this extra material on the 501st CRL
Same as the ring that low
Is there an image where this ring is that low? And if there is why is it not on the CRL ?
I do see that im missing the pipping on the under shirt From the CRL
Are we not using the CRL for costume approval?
http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:SL_revan
GML repply
CRLs are just guidelines mate for explaining aras of the costume. Just because something is missing from it doesn't mean that it shouldn't be on the costume. I look at images of a persons outfit and compare it to reference images of the character, its easier that way.
The material at the bottom of the cowl, I'd just get a piece of similar material to what the rest is made from and attach it to the inside to mimic the look.
As for the piping, that is what I refered to as the seam running along the upper chest.
I always use this reference for Revan

I dont want to sound conflictive but its abeautiful armor made by MWA and it was not cheap and if im ahcking and adding stuff i want it to be the right stuff thats why i asked
-
I purchased this buckles
you think they are ok?
-
Thanks buddy
Yes the under shirt will be replaced for a proper turtle neck and add a pipping to it .
My GML told me to lower the ring a bit more. which i have done by extending the leather straps.
not sure what you mean by my chest..
I have ordered some clips and will be replacing those
he also said to add material like the one from the hood and add this under the chest plate
to make the hood look more like a cowl.
this is one thing that is very confusing in the 501st each GML ha sits own standars.
so its very hard to please everyone
some revans get approved without any modification at all
-
