Hello Michaella! Thanks for help! Yep, Holly want the 501st approval, otherwise would not be here torturing her XD (I know because she told me in an email ) Ah Holly, I just saw him: the bicep is missing a strip and snaps. The center strip.

I love your kitty!! *o* but..Sorry to tell you, do not be angry with me ... the armor, look bad, how to explain it, it looks like something drawn on paper, cut and painted by hand. The rivets are not round and no seems have any volume (3D, look like they were painted in 2D), the edges are blurred, and a black line around the edge of the material when it is white and thick. And it definitely has to be muuuuch darker. The shape: The Forearm and thighs guards have good shape. Bicep armor I think is too long. bicep armor, reaches the top of the strip that secures the bikini. Shin guard must be more narrow in the lower part. Hand strap must encircle the hand. I hope that this can help http://www.twilekparadise.com/darth_talon_armor.htm I think maybe it looks so because the armor material it is very thick. It is also possible that if the darken MUCH more, look better. Try to darken a couple of pieces before remake. Darken or paint in black the sides (edges)) See a lot the reference images. If you saw me I'm wrong let me know. Cheer up, keep it up! every step you make it more good!
  3. FABULOUS!! I'm impressed with the tattos The gloves seem a little high but you told me you are to cut them to the height of the armor. Belt and bikini seem good. But I prefer see it wear for see the proportions Impressed wih the bikini shape!! I worry only the back cords of the bikini and side studs

Welcome to the sub-forum! You have chosen a very difficult costume, encourage! Do not know if it's the light but it seems to have bumps or was deformed. Most distant photographs could help him better Could see photos on your person wearing? you can stick it with a temporary "fixo"
  6. FAQ for 501st Darth Talon The most frequent answers for legion501st aspirants 1. Can I use a cloak? - No 2. Can I use tights? Nop Exception: once approved, if you can do a tights good enough to look like your skin, you should submit them to your local recruiter, he/she should give them the nod. 3. The bikini is metal? Nop. Is leather or leather aspect material 4. The armor is black? Really is dark grey (the gloves are black... and black over black no see nothing) then dark grey or grey gunmetal. This car is an example [more in a future]
  7. I would beg not write on this topic so I can keep posting tutorials one after another. If you have something to contribute or scold me, please, send me a private or write in their presentation topics of their costumes thanks PS: would beg the webmaster a pin to this topic
  8. Alexandra send me her tattoos photos via mail (for privacy) and are REALLY AMAZING. even under the armpit! I was impressed.
  9. The chest tattoo. More big and more up, to the clavicles, and two spikes go to the center. The stomach tattoo. More thick. see the image. Not do more tests to have the bra, the bra can change much of your cleavage area. remember that tattoos hips, lower back and leg are connected The back bottom tattoo. Encircled in green. in this draw we can see clearly the tattoo. I understand that the creator has not drawn that tattoo in such detail in other cartoons (encircled in blue). I would like you to do the difficult tattoo to approval (green circle) and if you prefer, use the simple tattoo (blue circle) for events if you hurry.
  10. Darth Talon face makeup Something I learned from my makeup, is that one thing to be "screen accurate" and another thing is look like a bearded raccoon. Darth Talon is supposed to be sexy, the face changes according makeup. 1) If the profile of your face, keep your jaw lines, you will be very thick, however, if the lines are separated from your jaw and cheek cross, you look more stylish. This draws are of a friend (thanks Gonzo ) SI = YES The left eye Somewhere, perhaps in tattoos who gave Jan Duursema, painted left eye we see a very round and big. It will be screen-accurate but is horrible, seem a raccoon! I vote to make the drawing more feline, as in this and other images of comic Seek to look feline and dangerous This image can also see that the tattoo chest reaches to the collarbone the chin Here you have to be careful not to appear to have a beard. Those lines that come from the lips, there leave some space red between the lips and those tattoos will look more sexy.
  11. TIPS and TRICKS for a "perfect" Darth Talon ... as perfect as you can get with a cartoon BODYPAINT: These inhuman problem... I recommed paint in your house for the approval photos. Minor stress and more time and more items that in a event. I see I see, is a waste of makeup. but think. Only two approved Darth Talon. Both paint in her house (two times). If you really think you have enough experience to add the stress and rush of having to paint you to go to an event, you are who knows you best. My advice is: give it all to have a great photos for approval and after looks like how your local recruiter allows. I am researching how to do it easier! I found this video and I wrote to the creator to see if we can get it. It would be fantastic! :D but in the meantime you will have to use templates or freehand... if you want to be among the first 501st Darth Talon of the world!! Council on the bodypaint. It is worth spending a little more expensive makeup brands, seriously, I did not listen to Pam and bought Mehron, but Ben Nye much better!! Try with alcohol paints, latex paints, etc.. seek, seek the best for you. Because even if you paint in your home, they will need five hours of paint and if the paint is not good jump from their bodies before finishing!! The tattoos... the real headache. My advice. Print or draw the tattoos, cut them, light glue it to your body. Make some photos and compare. WITH THE COMIC!! Edit them and repeat the process. When you think you are fine. Ask somebody who knows Darth Talon and can advise you. (yuhuuu *call* I'm here :D) I know that when a girl making a Darth Talon costume for 501st, are all stressed and blind (yeah, came a point that I myself could not figure out the simplest things). When you want to try painting on your body starts just 2 or 3 tattoos without red makeup under, you can use a different color makeup if you do not want to spend the black. Even you can paint only the borders without the filling. Send me the pictures, for forum here, or private or by email. I'll advise you Each day or week a different group of tattoos. So until you have each and every piece fits with the other. It will be much more relaxed and perfect. Then the next step will be painted red and a tattoo above very difficult (chest or stomach, one in the back) and leave it there for 5 or 6 hours. Watch their behavior I thought about doing this in the arm or leg but the skin seems to be different according to the area or the movement of muscles makes move different the skin. You have to go for tattoos difficult. Patience and perseverance Slowly but steady Make a piece one day and another day another. And in the end you can see how each piece fits. ARMOR, GLOVES People do not seem to have problems with armor, but if I see common problems also will do a FAQ Gloves ABOVE the bicep If you order shop online, bend your arm and measured at right angle through the elbow BOOTS Search a cobbler or seamstress to have a machine capable of sewing leather or leatherette and it may prolong your boots. A simple way to make the boots is so Boots cover tutorial http://mostflogged.deviantart.com/art/S ... -365993214 http://www.cosplayisland.co.uk/tutorials/bootcovers is cheap and you can do it yourself , you can find more tutorials online. Remember that if your fabric is stiff you needed a zipper, if elastic, sure that this tight at the thigh to keep it from sliding down your leg more other day (I remind you that english is not my native language, I can use several hours of my time to do a tutorial) I also remember that I'm human if I'm wrong let me know and if you have any ideas to improve something if you want to share it with everyone I would beg not write on this topic so you can keep posting tutorials one after another. If you have something to contribute or scold me, please, send me a private or write in their presentation topics of their costumes thanks PS: would beg the webmaster a pin to this topic
  12. CRl in a non-visual guide. REFERENCE IMAGES are the visual guide. I know that when a girl make a Darth Talon costume for 501st, are all stressed and blind. All the research, study and help guide that we can make are usefull. I'm no a judge but knows Darth Talon. If you ask "am I look good?" to your brother, He answered "yeah you look good" (but he no knows nothing of Darth Talon). The recruiters only says "see reference images, see the reference images" I really would have liked to have the support of someone to tell me, "this really right or wrong or could be improved, make in this and this way" that have much knowledge of Darth Talon and this exclusive dedicated to this costume. Sorry for forgot you Britt , I thinked that you go out of the forum and no return anymore, your lekku have the tattoos painted, no re-make it if you think that are good. But if you think that you can make better... is your decision change it or not. I like it each person show me every step that she will do before do it and to advise. If feel shy in public can send the pictures by private and I put it in the private forum recruiters if needed.
  13. Notice to all new applicants I want to also monitor lekku tattoos. To this day (12 May 2013) Kaieta not have to change the tattoo's lekku because they painted their tattoos before I post these images but all others must show me a preview of their tattoos' lekku before painting to give them the nod.
  14. I show you green encircled the tips. Don't forget the neck tattoos, encircled in blue The face is good. Maybe the brow triangle is too big. The chest tattoo. More big and more up, to the clavicles, and two spikes go to the center. The stomach tattoo. More thick. see the image. Not do more tests to have the bra, you can change much of your cleavage area. If you like, show me the legs and hips tattoos. remember that tattoos hips, lower back and leg are connected The back bottom tattoo. Keep it up! you're doing great
  15. Please, look carefully these images. Can see it one or two tattoos references. The rest of the tattoos are spikes that intersect. In the left head side 4 or 5 curved spikes. Back of head is black. The right head side, all black. On the top of the lekku (over the "triangle tattoo with a rhombus in the center") some spikes that intersect, different interpretations. Don't use my signature image for reference, that lekku are unfinished.
  16. Very good Michelle Make sure that the strips hanging from the belt not be as long or as wide as in the photo. I want to see your templates bodypaint before you paint it again. It's hard being rejected by the bodypaint
  17. Thanks for the compliments Michelle Go ahead with your project, you have very clear what needs to change, can write me any questions that you have or you post here. Gradually I doing tutorials and summaries with the problems and solutions that we meet Darth Talon's costumers. Thanks and greetings!
  18. Not bad for the first time . tries that seems more to Jan Duursema's tattos From what you say I understand that you know those gloves and boots are short for Darth Talon Encourage it!
  19. Hello Alexandra. Nice face makeup! I want see your chest tatto, I fear it is too low. if it gives you trouble post it in public you can send it to me via PM or email. Your questions: - The "necklace" Talon has on some photos, can I have it or is it not approved for 501st? No can use any necklace for legion501st - The colour of the armor does it have to be black or is dark metallic grey/silver okay for 501st approval? Yeah, is "gunmetal" or dark metallic grey/silver. Black over black no see nothing - The cape, can it be 501st approved or is it not accurate for Talon to use one? I also wanted, but .. no capes allowed Use ONLY comic reference images. No merchadising or figures. Never fan-arts

  21. Hello SIMpixels. Welcome to this community
  22. Wow, this is wonderfull!! really really like this
  23. The second I prefer. The idea of the handle is a twisted alien rock or coral, but your version looks great. Maybe if the cuts were not so straight you could improve it much.
  24. Yes, it's very dark, but I can guess that there are three overlapping pieces. The bikini Darth Talon are 4 strips left 3 lines between them. No 3 pieces left 2 lines between them. It's normal to be confused with that in certain images but clearly in the CRL. but this is assuming... the images are very grainy.
  25. Aysel has offered to me be a Darth Talon costume mentor and I agreed ^ _ ^ I gained a level as in video games, , now you can see my name in green I will do as best I can.
