Both have been approved! I took a few wip pics over the last few months, I'll add some details for what I did to make this soon

I had to shorten the veil by an inch or so, but otherwise it is good to go

I have been working on this on and off for a while and I've finally got it to a point where it's about ready to submit. I did both versions of the underdress and veil

I took a look at the fabric at Walmart and found a few options. They are cotton so not as soft as I wanted but still might work.
The one on the right is what I'm leaning towards
Here are a few more, the one on the right is the same one from above

Would the middle darker fabric color work? I didn't like the fabric texture, but if the color is right I will use that as a reference for other textures

I wondered that, here is some material I had at home. It looks totally different in natural light versus inside light.
The lighter red fabric is some I have that I thought about using for the belt.
The black fabric was pleather type fabric

I am starting my visas build of the unseen unheard version, would one of these colors work for the inner dress/headpiece, and the outer dress?
In the light
In the shadow
Another option
Here's a jersey knit, ok color but not sure on the fabric

My son likes this costume, so I made it for him to troop in with me. He is not eligible for 501st yet, but I wanted to post it for feedback. I've got some other tweaks I want to make to it but it's a good start.
He loved getting this picture
some source references:
1. At Mara's Funeral, from Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force
2. Portrait from The Essential Atlas
3. A Star Wars Galaxy 6 sketch card by Steven Miller
4. A Star Wars Galaxy 7 sketch card by Scott Zambelli
5, Star Wars Minatures
Costume pieces:
•Tunic W/mandarin collar – black shirt bought, add collar
•Black Jedi tabard, knee length – created and sewn to the shirt so they wouldn't move around
•Black pants - bought, no decorative items or visible pockets
•Jackboots – use already have
•Chest Armor – used EVA foam cut, shaped, painted and attached to black shirt
•Vader style surcoat
•Vader style cloak - attached to shoulders of surcoat
•Belt & buckle – black belt, created buckle from foam and add embellishment, plan to redo with tandy buckle
•Vader style Gloves – bought and sewed seams as seen in the pics
•Lightsaber, Vader style

If she painted the pattern, you have to clean it frequently or it will collect paint on the back of the paper and distribute it where you lay it next. I made several paper patterns and used them alternatively, then blotted the back after each use with a paper towel.
on mine after I was done I took some black paint that was the same sheen as my material and touch up areas that smeared a little. The pictures you posted look like it smeared a lot, but I guess they can try to cover up the places it’s not supposed to be painted
