duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. this is epic!!!!! great job building such an amazing costume.
further to the hand make up thing. spray the barrier spray before and after makeup application and it will "sandwich" the make up in, preventing smearing and transfer to other surfaces.
cant wait to see trooping photos of this costume

Wicked Armour is great and accurate, but even while you have to give measurements for it to be close to your form, there are still adjustments that need to be done. With my Revan, I had to add in press studs to join the back and chest plates together and add more adhesive velcro onto the vambraces so they appear to be a single piece construction. Further to this, while MWA is a great costume, i still had to put plenty of work into it to get it approvable in my garrison.

as Nina stated, Cosplaysky is NOT approvable. Go for the MWA set, it is a bit pricier than most but requires minimal modification for approval.

looking great there bud,
firstly, your boot don't appear to be high enough. the officer boots from sovietboots.com are a great knee high option and have a great heel in them as well.
there is also the absence of the 3 belts and buckles around the boots and the armour cap on the toe
the undershirt should be something of compression wear as it needs to be form-fitting to prevent blousing.
as for the hands, i still paint mine and apply nails every troop but look into welovecolors.com for some form-fitting gloves to make it easier. you can also apply nails to them with hot glue to make it easier.
the zipper on the vest should not be visible so a flap of leather secured with velcro is a good option.
the belt buckle and greeblies should be enclosed on the top and bottom so they don't have a 'hollow' look.
i cant really tell with these photos and there is arguments on the topic but for your approval pics, you'll need a dark brown (yeah, almost black) face paint. the baldcap should be seamless so liquid latex is a good way to blend it to your skin via stippling and layering it up
make sure the bicep armour sits up higher also as it should be at the bottom of the shoulder armour. (more around the bicep than the top of the elbow)
as with all costumes, it comes down to your GML's approval.

forgive the VERY late reply. i use water based cake paint with a barrier sealing spray before and after application.
its all free handed on but i did recently make a basic template which my wife found very useful when i kitted up for the TROS midnight screening.

All parts attached and in place. Will fix shoulders in place to avoid movement. Finished the vambraces off with two strips of leather (left over from the vest) around the wrists. Etched the vertical grooves on the shin guards with a dremel and then painted and wiped away excess. Face paint and horns tomorrow and approval pics

All armour is now painted and sufficiently weathered. Photos dont do it justice as it looks too dark. The appearance has more of a metallic look to it as after weathering i rubbed it back a bit to expose the Ironlak 'Chrome'. Weathering was done with acrylic paints (first a light green followed by black). Sponged on and then buffed away with a soft cloth. Gives it a great look in my opinion.
Tomorrow night is final assembly and suit up to make sure it all looks the goods.

Painted all armour today. Acrylic primer followed by a coat of Ironlak 'Battleship'. Then splatterings of Ironlak 'Chrome' & 'Melbourne' to finish the top coats. Next is 'weathering' and giving it the raw metal finish it needs (blacks, greens and yellows).
A few final touches on the vambraces (leather bands around the wrists) and it should be ready for first suit up.

Things have been a little slack on my behalf in updating this so here goes for a nice big update.
Have been putting in some hard work in making everything look 100%. All armour parts are complete and ready for paint (reshaped the shoulders as they were a little bit off in appearance). Toe caps are made by papier mache and then covered with automotive body filler and sanded to shape. All foam armour parts are covered with fibreglass resin to seal in prep for painting and also to give a surface to scuff and scratch for pre weathering. Fixed the shoulders to the vest via press studs and same with the shin guards to the boots then covered all press studs with body filler and sanded. Skirt, pants, tabard, obi and vest all painstakingly made by the awesome Mammasith of the Redback Garrison (i wouldnt ask her to make one for you in the near future as she may refuse hehe). Belt is made by using leather contact adhesive and joining a 50mm (2 inch) black belt to 2x 38mm (1.5 inch) black belts that are reversed to utilise the grey raw leather. Then buckle and belt greeblies are 3D printed and all fixed via press studs on the reverse that are superglued in place. Undershirt is just a cheap one from China that has no markings on it. Vambraces are clone trooper ones that have been modified to look like Savages by using more body filler and shaping accordingly. Bicep armour is held in place by press studs on elastic straps that just go around the arm. Thats about it really. Will post another picture and update when i have all armour painted and ready to go.

The way that i interpreted the face paint was the dark brown was on the head but the black was to be used on the face. Looks like i have to reassess how i fo my makeup.

Trip to Mammasith n Cyclops' humble abode for a measure up saw me returning with the most awesome vambraces i could ask for (you guys are frickin amazing). Reshaping and fitting will start very soon. Thanks again guys!!!!

Got my boots back from Mister Minit (local cobbler) today. Little bit of trimming of belts and weathering to do, but im very happy with their work. Next is a trip to Mammasiths house for a fabric drop and measure up. Slow progress, but still progress nonetheless.

Wasnt happy with the first fabrication of the shoulder armour (had no ridge and also wasnt uniform in line at the bottom). Made new patterns and redone. Alot happier now.
Shaped bicep armour pieces, ready to be fixed to elastic straps to hold in place.
Received boots from sovietboots.com today. Done a quick mock up of how the straps will sit with the top one sitting just below the calf muscle. Will take to cobbler to fix onto boots permanently next week.
Onto coating foam parts with some sort of fiberglass resin so it can be textured for weathering and gunmetal look.
Will be vac-forming shin guards and vambraces from abs so need to start working on bucks for that process.

Got these today to use for the buckles and belts on the boots (6 in total). Will get them stitched onto the boots to make it more permanent and also to provide somewhere to fix industrial velcro to for the shin guards

Bad picture quality but have sourced boots from sovietboots.com. Calf high, worn leather with a heel. No zippers or buckles either.
Fabric for the skirt, obi and pants bought from my local haberdashery store. Black raw silk to match the CRL requirement. Will be getting a seamstress from within the Redback Garrison to help with the sewing on all those parts
Crafting the shoulder and bicep armour out of EVA foam. Still alot of shaping to do but hopefully will come out looking a million bucks after paintwork.
Will post progress pics as more pieces come together down the track

i got a set of Johnny Reb medium height boots off Ebay, took them to a cobbler to get rid of all the strapping and affix straps over the top of the foot (best part was they were able to use the old strapping for this)
