After sanding, did you use Plasti dip and then gloss black paint? Or did you use another type of paint?

I have acquired the first few pieces for my Mara Jade Decipher card build. Everything but the shin guards I already own and use for my current Mara. The wig I'm hoping will be acceptable. "Red" is a pretty vague term. The boots I plan to remove the decorative buckles but I'm wondering if the elastic will be ok? I have large calves and most boots done for me. The gloves and buckle will be ok I think. I did start a thread in my own Garrison but I wanted to do it here as well.

Am I allowed to ask my local GML for advice? It seems like it would be "cheating" to do that..

Hello all, I have begun the process of putting together a decipher card version of Mara jade. Before I order shinguards I would like to get some input on the two choices. The first choice I believe I have seen some of you use for your approval costume. The second choice I have are similar but they are slightly different shape at the knee. So glad I found this thread. I am also working on a Decipher Mara build and I think I'm going with the same guards as OP shared in the top image. They seem to be the closest that I've found.
