Very NICE! Keep it up!

Happy for you sir! Now I have more hope getting my acolyte approved as well!

Where did you get the kit, I am highly interested in one
It is mostly a KB kit you can see his thread at the "for sale section" here. Gauntlets and handplates are Imperialsurplus.com, Ab piece from Wolfgang, gauntlet rocket greeblie from Maynock, thumb and canister from TK1700.
Hope it helps... now I am just missing the robe then ready to take photos for submission. Hopefully can be approved on time for TFA opening!

Better pm him. I did buy a few parts from him but regarding the whole kit, have to ask him
Im no expert but, it must be a level 3...

Yup I know it is discouraged but I have the impression that it was only discouraged because of the lack of details, and how the TOR Jedi is not consistent with the TOR sith in some details like the cod and gaunts.
Kevin B's gaunts were too long for me so I got the KW gaunts along with the handplates as it fit me better.
Hope the additional missiles and deeper groove lines that I am planning to do will make it detailed enough to be approvable. I think that the word "discouraged" becomes a stigma to not get the kit and do your own modifications and have fun with it. So far in my opinion, based on the CRL I got:
"Forearm Armor
For 501st approval:
Must be fully-encased gauntlets ( check ) complete with the appropriate greeblies consistent with available references. (double check )
Must be painted a metallic grey that is weathered in a pattern consistent with the rest of the armor.(will do)
The use of TOR Jedi armour is discouraged " (just this )
Thanks for the heads-up! -

Neck seal was a second hand bought over from the mando mercs site. It was used for an iron man costume. I thought d ribs and paint job would work for a Sith Acolyte, so i bought it. Will be contacting Darman for a back-up one in case ds one dont meet standards...

There is something wrong here... Shouldnt they be telling the features that dont make the standards and how to improve or correct it, rather than "discouraging" certain armour pieces?! It must be the look that counts and not base the CRL on one particular armour from one particular maker even if some pieces dont match well with the existing references.

My Mynock-Mask has some small padding on top and besides at the cheeks. I have attached just one strap which goes right over my ears around my head.
Sits really good.
The bigger mask has attached an insert from an welding helmet. Works great.
I wear the baclava just under the mask.
I think I will go with the Maynock mask attachment. But how do you attach d strap, do you just glue it to the resin mask?
-
Hi Benjamin!
Would like to ask a question here, since this is the most active thread right now. How do you wear the mask? strapping, attach it to balaclava... just wana ask before proceeding and testing the best practices out there.
Thanks for the help!

It has been ages... this is what I have done so far... cut apart the front piece of kevins toe armor and sticking them on with silicon glue for flexibility on the boot.
and a few test fits and shots with the shin armor...
let me know what you think and will it pass clearance...
working my way up and doing the thighs...
hope I finish up this bad boy in the next couple of weeks... got everything already except the cloak...

Anyone willing to share the pattern of their Sith Acolyte Robe? Im trying to engage a local tailor for the job and it would help a lot if there picture references of the cut on hand. Thanks for the help!

Thats a big downside as well for me...

Alright! Back to the project boards!
Now can Lord Adraas follow...

@ amidala
You should just get a sith acolyte! why? it is the perfect combination of mask/bucket, armor, robe and weild a light saber!
Your costuming skills and resourcefullness will be upgraded with this costume. Nipshank has the perfect combo for a sith acolyte build!
