Hello everyone I currently started by build now and just requesting feedback. Things i know already is that I need to cut the trim down on the gloves and I'm currently waiting for my balaclava to arrive in the mail. Any feedback at this stage would be greatly appreciated before I finish up the gloves and put in submission pictures. If you want to see anything in detail just ask I'll take a picture and throw it up.

Unfortunately I don't really have good news for you.

It looks like your costume is currently a hybrid between the COTF and KOTOR2 versions.

The KOTOR2 version looks like the version you were aiming for, so I'll advise in that direction.

The upper body should look to be padded out to achieve the look of the game rendors.

The upper body tunic doesn't have the cross over, it's pretty much just a straight top, with a neckline a lot more like a t-shirt.

From the pics provided so far, that's where I would start. More pics showing details of the costume like the mask and the shoulders where the cape attaches, etc... would help.

Ok I will work on the tunic, might be a week or so but I'll throw the pics up when im finished with it. Heres the mask and hood, tried to get the best looking "cat ears" i could get on it. Thanks for the feedback so far man I appreciate it.

Kept having to fix the hood so I dont have the balaclava or black undermask on in the second picture but at least you get a better mask hood picture.

Its been awhile, had alot of things to take care of. I got with the XO of the Wi Garrison to help me finish this up and get approval pics done. Hopefully this is alot better than the last pictures I posted. What do you think?

After my second try I was told:

The hood needs a bit of work, as you can see the shape of how it should look in this link-- http://theflagshipeclipse.com/gallery/a ... -views.jpg . Also the the cowl should drape downward and rests on the costumer's chest, creating a closed oval frame around the face.

Would strongly suggest a visit to the Flagship Eclipse forum for pointers on achieving the right shape.

Ken

Can anyone on the forums give me some advice?

Looks like you need more gathers at the base of the hood around the neck area. I had the same issue where my hood was too straight and flat. I hand stitched the folds into the base of the hood to give it the look in the image. I just did tack stitches with black thread on the inside of the hood to keep the folds. Give that a try and see how it looks. Hope that helps!

Nef

A Lightsaber is not required for approval into the 501st, and is an optional accessory. Get the costume approved first, then you can focus on the lightsaber, that is what I did.

So its been awhile I have been working on other projects but have finally gotten around to get this costume approved. From the last time in the fall last year when I went for approval I was given this:

The hood still needs work, to get it to sit and fall right.

I cut and pasted Jeff's costume next to the reference pic to help show the how it should be.

Since then I have picked up a crown from woodman and remade the cowl hopefully fixing this error that was originally made.

I am still very unhappy with the skirt and in the working to seem up the one I have ready to go and have to get new boots after I ruined the ones I had. Never use the Jedi Boots from amazon for a quick solution they last for a couple of troops and quickly break and are very uncomfortable. So where it stands now do you think that this could be going to the right path of being approved?

The new cowl is fantastic! Really love how it turned out. From the look of things I would say your a ready to submit for approval from what I can see in the photographs.

Cheers,

Nef
