Traya belt help!

I am helping a friend with her Traya costume and I am having a bit of trouble with the belt. From the reference pictures I do not see a buckle or a clasp on it, and it is flush all the way around. How did you guys do the buckle?

I am working on my Traya, as well, so I will tell you what I did, and then if I'm wrong, I'll know I need to change mine as well!

 

My belt is a single piece of leather, with the lines scored into it to give the effect of three pieces on leather. It fastens in the back, by way of a slight overlap that is fitted with industrial strength velcro on the inside. This was to make the seam as inconspicuous as possible (no rivets, screws, or seams to attach a buckle or strap on the inside), and make it easy to put on and take off.

Thanks. I thought about doing the overlap with velcro as well, but I wasn't sure if that was acceptable or not since there are no visible seams or ends on the pics.

as long as it looks like three pieces aka the score lines are very visible in the pictures I'm ok with that. as for the seam in the back, this is real life not a video game where clothes don't have seams, so an inconspicuous seam in the back is ok it's always a good idea to post lots of pictures so things can be reviewed as you go and so you can fix whatever you need to fix before you submit
