When I'm making a costume that's been digital art, I always print a high res image of it then visit the fabric store when picking fabrics. When your selecting your fabric keep in mind how the character moved and the characteristics of the fabric. For Traya something medium weight would probably be best, something like a matte cotton/poly blend that has a nice drape.
