WIP Darth Revan, feedback wanted!

Hi! I've already talked with someone in my (almost) garrison for building my first 501st kit. So far this is what I have (or am getting, pending input). My GML advised on posting here.

Costume-helmet, cloth, armor, and leather:

Boots-will have strap cemented on and threads darkened to blend in

Pants (I'll be taking of the logo on the upper pant leg)

Lightsaber (red)-Pommel will be painted black, gold appendage is to attach to belt loop fixture (Ultrasabers "Savior" build, I've seen accepted 501st with it, if I saw right)

Lightsaber (purple)-Ultrasabers "Butcher" build

Let me know if there's anything I need to change. Or get rid of. I've seen the Butcher saber on Wookiepedia but not on the CRL, so I'm not sure if that's approved.

Thank you!

The Butcher hilt is no longer acceptable for a KOTOR Darth Revan build as far as I know.. I have one too.. haha

I was told by my local garrison that the savior hilt is good. I recently purchased a second savior style hilt from SabersPro. Their reviews on google were pretty wildly hit or miss, but they were running a sale, so i gave them a shot.. took about 2 weeks to arrive, baselit LED with sounds and about a dozen blade colors. I like the US blades better but the SP hilt is more proportionate and lighter with more functions for a LOT less cash. I think I spent about $220 for my US hilt with one color led and no effects and $130 for the SP hilt with all it's extra stuff..

UltraSabers hilt on the left, SabersPro on the right.. ignore the shitshow of a mess on my desk.. lol

I can't comment on the rest of the items, I bought the full Wicked Armor set in September 2020 and life has gotten in the way so I haven't been approved yet.. things I have had to adjust and still need to tweak are the way the capelet sits, and my cape had some sewing problems, it almost looks like the seams were done backwards, hard to explain since I'm not good with sewing terms, but the knifepleats and the box pleat don't go the right ways.. The fabric is also very lightweight and "flowy" so I'm going to be remaking the cape and hood/capelet in a heavier fabric that will hold form a little better.

For the armor pieces though, i don't think anyone can beat the quality from WA.

You are correct on the butcher hilt. It is not from KOTOR, and therefore, is not approvable or wearable with the KOTOR armor that the 501st has approved. That isn't to say that if someone wanted to do a version of Revan with it that it wouldn't be approvable, it just wouldn't be interchangeable.

Also yes, MyWickedArmor is still the best readily available armor from a vendor you can find, though you will need to change out the ring strings to straps.

The kit came in today! Took a while to put it together, and I'd like to ask for some tips with a few things. It seems like he updated his kit, because the ring straps are already leather straps and they are 1" wide and 1" to the ring.

For the boots, I'm looking for feedback on where to glue the strap on-I included a rough sketch of where I thought it matches the CRL the most.

For the bracer/glove-I'm not sure if I need to buy a longer glove, or just get some help with putting the bracer on itself. The glove always seems to slide out or I end up with it looking like that.

Last pic is of it all put together in case y'all see anything else I might have missed. I followed his directions pretty well. (I have not done the clasps yet)

Just got my kit in yesterday too! Had to ship my bracers back as they were too small but from what I can tell a longer gauntlet style glove will probably work better than the gloves I had.

For the bracers I had to get longer gloves, more similar to TIE Pilot gloves off amazon, I'll update this with a link of the ones I got. Other thing I found is that if you pull the sleeves of the shirt up a bit so they billow up around the other end of the gauntlet it looks a bit better as they apparently run large.

*EDIT*

The lines on the back are perfectly covered by the hand armor for me at least and they are MUCH more comfortable than I ever expected for the price.
