WIP and feedback on my homemade Darth Revan

So I've decided that I want to do a Darth Revan costume and that I want to design the hardparts myself. So I started in the beginning of the year with modeling the parts and I've printed the mask, chestplate, backplate, abdomen, kidney and vabraces. And now I thought it would be a good idea to share it here to get some feedback and make sure that the parts looks good. I've included pictures of the mask, vambraces, chestplate and abdomen so far. 101770998_280322425_958933208111139_6277101694747843853_n(1).thumb.jpg.c3e10b3dd737cd4e0aaf96cd44fb98be.jpg

I based the mask off of the picture in the crl. I see that the lower part is a bit thicker than the Wicked Armor one. Hopefully it'll still work. The hood is not the one I'm planning to use with this costume.

The vambraces I made in two pieces, but then figured out it would be better to be in one piece, so I merged them together on one side.

The chestplate on top of the abdomen armor. I haven't painted these parts yet, but they are soon ready to be painted. The images on the crl looks very soft and low quality so I based them on the description rather than the pictures.

Here's just a WIP of the mask, so you can see how it looks when not worn.

Hopefully this is good enough so far, but critique is very welcome! And if someone wonders, I will share the files when I know that they are approvable for 501st

The mask looks rather large in proportions, but detail wise looks good.

The lower section of the chest armor (ab section) is not correct. It lacks the separation between the chest and the ab by the soft armor (leather or leatherlike material). It is not a single piece.

The rings look very thin in comparison (world be the 2" OD and 1.75" ID side).

Without seeing it on to compare, I can't tell on the fabric ribbed areas, but you will want to weather them with a silver dry brush to get the mottled effect they need to be.

The armor itself looks good from what I can tell!

Thanks for the feedback! The rings are the closest I could find localy. They are slightly larger than 2'', but I'd hoped that would work. I couldn't find any info on the ID on the CRL, but I do agree that they are thinner than most of the other I could see.

Also you're right I that need to weather the fabric. Forgot to mention that, but that's also on the to-do list.

If everything else is good then I'm one step closer!

You're making fantastic progress!

Also side note: if you want, I can order the rings you need here and bring them with me on my trip to Norway in a week and a half. I could mail them locally to you once I'm there

No I was building it on a stand on a  norwegian "maker faire" , so I put it on to see how it looked. The others in the backround was doing a troop, but I didn't troop with them, they just were there when we took the picture

I put the whole thing together, and its mostly done! Need to do some minor tweaks, like fixing the straps that holds the armor up, and fixing the leather sections so they don't popp out like they do now. But I'm soon there now I hope!
