Getting everything started on a Darth Revan build. Starting this thread now as a way to consolidate my thoughts and requests for more information.

Plan right now is to order the Wicked Armor V2 armor and soft parts in likely two batches. It looks pretty solid, expecting to make some minor adjustments but assuming it should be pretty good.

From my understanding I need a pair of slacks for undergear, purchase from walmart or goodwill, whichever is cheaper.

Gloves I will probably pick up second hand as well or grab a cheap pair of biker gloves.

Boots plan is either Crowprops (used them for my TIE) or buy a pair of cheap square toe boots and build them up myself.

Lightsabers I have no idea...all my google searches show not approved sabers. Might end up buying a 3d printer and making them myself.

Other option is getting some pvc or metal pipes and parts and putting together my own hilt and going bladeless for awhile to cut a corner, unsure but might try this just so I can start some of this build sooner rather than later.

Starting this as a long term project, goal one is to get a vendors list fully fletched out,  moving houses here in a couple months then when we get established in our new home start placing orders and getting this build underway.

Thanks for reading!

Josh

Looks like you have a solid plan. Just remember that you needs the straps and rings to modify the MWA  ab and kidney armor for approval.

For hilts, they are not required for approval, so don't let that hold back submitting. But yes, the correct ones are often times a pain to locate right away. I actually had a machinist make my empty hilt and it cost me about $100.

I saw your comments reflecting that on the other post. Totally willing to make some modifications as needed once I get it in if I have any confusion will 100% reach out to you and ask some questions.

I don´t have any experience with it myself, but one of my friends uses it for his Revan.
As our DL Nina already wrote higher up here, you do not need it for approval - but it do look very close.

I got one custom made for my Visas Marr, since I had the same problem and couldn´t get right hilt.

Looking at the Ultrasaber Savior hilt and blade

It looks accurate to me from the few pictures I can find does anyone have experience with it?

Yeah I'd say it's close enough.

I use 2 different sabers depending on my event and if im indoors or outside. I have a Pach Store Ultimate Works RVS Saber with LED string blade, or I use a Saberforge Fallen Elite saber with a red LED in hilt and a red dayblade if im doing outside events.

Finally progress! Ordered from Wicked Armor this morning and Saber Pro for one Saber.

Last big hurdle is boots, trying to get a pair and modify them vice using CrowProps for this set.

Looking at a Chelsea style boot for basic approval until I can afford a more accurate set. Anyone see anything wrong with these?

I would add the strap with some marine leather more than likely and use a bit of white shoe polish to tarnish them

How do these gloves look? Trying to find some slightly longer cuffs but this is the best I've found thus far.

I have pretty skinny arms, and with short cufs, I kept battling keeping the cuff under the bracers.. My solution was longer gloves..

These fit under the bracers and help hold them in place by making my arms thicker.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D92YT16/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For boots, I lucked out and found a pair on ebay advertised as "Vintage FRYE Boots Leather Moto Square Toe Black Men’s 11.5" I took them to a local saddle shop and had the strap added over the top. I have no idea what "model" they are though.. 😕 https://imgur.com/a/Y8yxYs8
