Seventh Sister WIP

Mana

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! Figured I'd start a build thread here as well. I started one on the FB group for Seventh sisters to show my construction and pattern modification especially for the jacket. Planning to join the Great Lakes Garrison soon as i'm already party of the GLB ! I didn't quite finish by celebration like I hoped so enjoy the info and ask any questions if you have any.

First, Jacket fabric and base pattern used.

The fabric is a thick black knit from Joann's. The red is also a red knit but only 2 way stretch.
Pattern is the one seen below with modifications made to pattern D.

Jacket has been modded, fitted, modded some more and lining was cut out based on my actual black fabric pattern. I didn't do a mock up cause I like the risk game apparently.

I've sewn on snaps here, could probably use one or two more to make sure it's super secure. I used Iron on vinyl decals made by a friend with her cricut as they look smoother than patches and won't make the fabric pucker like embroidery.MqXKGlS.jpg

Gloves I went the easy route and traced my hand, added some extra for seam allowance and stitched right along the paper with the fabric pinned together. I added the rectangle to the top gloves by way of top stitching it as it looked cleaner.

For boots, I purchased the Chinese Laundry brand that multiple other sisters have used and painted on with angelus leather paint the red details.

I didn't want to have to airbrush myself every troop so I tested out mixing some of this golden color corrector with my normal foundation and it worked beautifully! Here is the color corrector along with my first full makeup test. I used a red liquid eyeliner I have and I'm not sure where I got it from.... I bought it ages ago for a Dragon Age cosplay, hah. Lipstick is a matte liquid lipstick from Maybelline called Huntress.

Armor came in and it all fits amazingly except for the chest and back piece which the maker said he would fix. Here's the helmet, which i'm going to swap out the lenses for mesh so that I don't have fogging issues.
