Good morning everyone!

Thank you again for the recent thread on the Flagship Facebook page.

I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my progress pictures and reference images here.

I unfortunately havent had a moment to take photos of all of the finished products but I will add these when I have a chance. In the meantime, I'm always available to answer questions for anyone else looking to do the costume.

Reference Images included the below resources as well as a multitude of screenshots from the episode.. and also all credit goes to Mr Darren Marshall, who was incredibly helpful, generous with his time and happy to provide high resolution reference images and information to help me get all of the details right to the outfit he designed.

Parts:

HELMET - Meticulously custom sculpted, cast and painted by the wonderful team at NME Props. The helmet is available in kit form by contacting them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/nmeprops/ . The front of the face does function as it was intended in the episodes and can also be used with the Bounty Hunter Ventress costume.. It really is a thing of beauty.

BELT - Created with thick foam rubber and the beltboxes were made by Woodchuck to specific measurements

BOOTS - A close tie for my favourite part of the costume (next to the helmet).. due to the seriously unusual high square toe and downright weird shape and slant to the heel, they had to be lovingly custom made by the very talented, extremely meticulous and very helpful John Shrader of http://www.shraderbootmaker.com/ .  He even went to the lengths of posting me a prototype to ensure they would fit me perfectly and that he had the height and details correct. The final boots are nothing short of stunning. For someone who is a total klutz in heels, I absolutely love them.

SABERS  - I cheated a little with the sabers.. Once again, Woodchuck (well known to the 501st) came to my rescue with perfect wooden reproductions of the Force FX Ventress Lightsabers. They were then painted as close to the correct blue-silver colour as possible with leather wraps added. I'm very proud of how they turned out. As they contain no electronics, they were paired with a red polycarb blade, filled inside with red reflective caution tape - which causes them to "light up" when photographed with a flash (see below).

CAPE CLASP / BROOCH - One of the more difficult pieces to get right - I was only able to determine its details thanks to Mr Marshall's assistance. As I have a friend who creates silver jewellery, I commissioned her to make the piece in silver, which we then allowed to tarnish a little for some authenticity. Details can be provided for her if requested.

CAPE - Like most animated references, the cape defies physics. We added wire to the hood to assist it in keeping its shape, as well as internal magnets to keep it from flying away in the wind - believe me it acts like a kite..

BODYSUIT - Both the Bodysuit and Cape were custom made by the wonderful Kayle - details for her can be provided on request. She is a very talented seamstress within our Garrison.  The most difficult part of the bodysuit was getting the leather detailing right as there are multiple patches of padded leather, not unlike a motorcycle jacket. Thanks to Mr Marshall, we were able to establish that there is far more leather work under the cape than any images from the episode reveal - eg across the back, shoulders and chest.
