Mr Hair's Raxus Prime Starkiller scratch build

Just started my new Starkiller build. This is the first time I've deviated from the original trilogy, so exciting times.

First off....the back pack. Made this out of scraps I had lying around. Main body is wood & plastic scrap. The exhaust tubes are the plastic tube from the inside of a till receipt roll wrapped with Lino cut into strips. Red acetate for the screens. The left screen greeblies are buttons, one standard plastic button & one from a pair of jeans.

Next up the Lightsaber. Started with a card mock up just to get an idea of scale, then started on some different widths of pipe that could nest. Greeblies are various bits & bobs I had in my clutter box

Hand plates made out of scrap plastic & aluminium

Brown fingerless gloves over leather gardening gloves. Made a start on the finger tips. Again, scrap aluminium. Just need to fill the gaps, shape the edges a bit, then rivet & add the wire that runs down the back to the first knuckle joint

Mucking about with D rings. Wanted to make these out of aluminium, but the stuff I had was too thin, so made a plastic one, bodged up a quick mould with some clay & pulled a couple of resin ones. Going to try cold casting another set, but ultimately will cut these out of metal
