Opinion in starkiller shirt

Hey all. I'm almost done with my sith robes starkiller costume and had a question. What would you recommend for the shirt? Would a athletic style shirt like an underarmour shirt work or would should I go with just a standard long sleeve shirt?

I started originally with a button up black cotton style suit shirt with a simple 1 inch colar (yay 3.50 @ the thrift store) I ended up making a undertunic ( like a Jedi ) both seem to work great. But the sleves on the Tunic work better!
