    Thank you in fact there are trousers. Such type of pleats give an illusion of skirt, but when a person moves, split is visible. So I wonder if only skirt is an option? It could be either skirt or trousers in hakama style - in both options there will be visible opening.

    I suggest rolled pleats for skirt as well. I used this type of pleats when I was sewing Revan's costume for a friend and it keeps shape very good, without ironing. It's very comfortable during trooping, when there's no time and space to iron stuff.
