Finally I got to order the pattern, just have to buy some fabric and try to start on my costume. Now, about the lightsaber again… is the one in the picture a better option? I think it is hard to see what kind of hilt it should be, cant find any good pictures… Maybe someone can help me? 😊

Thank for all your input about the saber, I think I will have to look in to it a little bit more. Now to the outer robe/dress. Since money is a little short I will try to make the costume my self instead of commission it. Do you think I can use this dress pattern with a few alternations?

So, finally I started working on this project, althougt very slowely. The wig is the only thing I have hope atm. I have decieded to commission the robe/dress and if everything goes well I will have it i january/february. I bought a large piece of nice leather and will begin working in the belt and headress soon. Just need to find some nice boots also. Now I have a question about the lightsaber; have found one that looks that it will go well with Darth Traya. Any opinions?

Hello! I have now maybe find a seamstress to do my robe, but she had some questions about the robe. I hope someone in here maybe can help my with this For the pleats below the shoulder, do those need to be stitched down, ironed, or are soft folds that tuck into the obi at different intervals okay? Or do they need to be more managed/sewn into place shoulder to waist? Are they specifically looking for a particular number of pleats?

So, time to start on my costume… I have found a seamstress that can do the robe on commission, just want to here your thougts about it. She sent me pictures on one robe that she have done, and in my opinion I think it looks good. It is black but she had to brighten the pictures because of bad light. And the belt is not the one for the costume, just for show. Would be great if you could give me your thougts on it 😊

Hi all! Started my reserch for my Darth Traya. Found this wig and just want to know if anyone can say if this is the right color? And is it better to go for an more expensive wig, or should I just go for a somewhat cheap wig and maybe by another one in the future? What is you thougt on this? 😊

A month ago I got approved membership in 501st with my first costume, a Jawa. Already start to think about my next costume, and thought of doing a Darth Traya. I am not very good at sew clothes and wonder if anyone has any good tips where I can start? maybe even buy the costume and maybe alternate it so it match the CRL. All tips are very welcome since I am a noob at all this 😊
