  1. Yes that is always a good idea, if there is some uncertainty
  2. You are right, but in the CRL they also flare out slightly ( https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:SL_darth_nihilus ) and that is about as much as the ones that I got do, when I wear the tunics. So yes, asking the GMO will be a good idea, as there seems to be some room for interpretation
  3. I did get the approval with these, yes. I guess it always kind of depends on the respective Garrison and GMO. Even though the approval guidelines should be the same worldwide, they aren't always. Some seem to be stricter. That being said, the German Garrison, which I am in, has pretty strict approval guidelines IMO So yes, it shouldn't be a problem for you either. If you check the CRL they are very similar, with the one seam that goes across just behind the wrist ( https://databank.501st.com/databank/File:SL_nihilus_cotf_gloves.jpeg <= Kinda hard to see but if you look closely...) Also, they are very sturdy high quality gloves and your husband will be very happy with these. All I had to do is remove a little white tag that was sewn into the side-seam. But that was no biggie.
  4. I at first had some cheap carnival gloves from a local seller here in Germany. Because they were cheap they had no extra decorations... but because of their low price (paid like 7$) they also ripped after just a few times wearing them. I then went on another search, which I agree, is fairly difficult and I found Darth Maul gloves to be suitable (seen in the attached picture)! They have no decorations on top or across fingers, are mid forearm and form fitting in the front part ( and not too wide on the forearm part, especially when wearing the Nihilus => I have the Wicked Armor as well). I found them on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1042338875/star-wars-darth-maul-episode-i-ii-custom
