  1. These cheap boots from aliexpress. They are decent quality and pretty comfy https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOVTU7Y
  2. So my question is (this may also help @TanRu) how can I get this costume approved with the legion? As I can't choose KOTOR Nihilus in the character selection menu, only COTF is available. What's the process? As I might be able to apply to the slovakian outpost as I live right next to them as the nearest Slovakian city is like 35-40 mins away from me (with car)
  3. His work is really outstanding! This mask is indeed very close to the source material and I love it. I am going to a convention this sunday so hopefully I can take some epic pictures and I will try applying with this costume.
  4. I was able to snap some quick pics of my Nihilus mask. I can work along some guidance so I can share some of my costume's parts for the crl
  5. Well well well, the wa mask will arrive tomorrow. So here is the base of my costume. I'll do some minor mods like making the hood just a bit smaller and making sure it keeps it's shape as I just threw it on . The obi is about 1,5-6 inches wide. The cape is pleated and bunched up over my traps, I will use safety pins to stop it from falling down to my shoulders. The hoods top is completely flat
  6. Update time, so my suit is almost ready, I am going to pick it up next weekend, my mask from wicked armor is on it's way, some cheap cosplay long boots arrived a few days ago. Hopefuly I can take the costume to it's first event on the 20th of this month! I'll share some pictures of the end results and then it's application time.
  7. No, not at all, it's a cotf fun version, I have already ordered KOTOR cover mask from WA, my seamstress is making my costume based on the 501st requirements for KOTOR specifically. I am very fond of this costume as KOTOR 2 was my first star wars game and I loved every second of it so I really want to get every detail right this time around. My v1 KOTOR costume was decent enough but nowhere near accurate (too big cowl, too padded chest, missing skirt pleates). This time around I did a lot more digging, collecting reference pics both from the forums and through dms on facebook. My costume -mask should be done by november, and due to the current situation in Florida my mask will arrive late, hopefully I can finish this costume this year and maybe attempt some sort of an approval. (Pic of my v1 Kotor)
  8. To be honest I rock a pair of black chelseas with my Nihilus, you really can't see them but for approval you may need some cheap cosplay boots (maybe from amazon or ebay). Just as a side note this isn't an approved costume, I coul make the needed changes to maker it approvable however I am only interested in having a KOTOR 2 version. OXworks on facebook makes the saber hilt accurate to the game (I am not sure if they do installed tho) And I am also interested in the 3rd question as my local garrison is not too fond of me and neither I am of them
  9. My wicked armor cover art mask should arrive in a few weeks so I may be able to help with a photo for a mask opinion (if the detachment decides there will be 2 different versions, one based on the in game and one based on the cover art). Also my costume should be ready in 2 weeks. Sadly 501st approval with my current garrison is out of the equation due to many misunderstandings and costume bashing. I am not sure if I could work around this somehow as I am really a huge fan of Nihilus and I am trying to perfect this costume. I also thought about cross applying as I live near to the border of another country and some members of my garrison are from said country.
  10. So after some discussion in this (linked) thread I wanted to jump on this costume. My progress so far: Leather gloves from etsy (40cm long, reaches just below my elbow) Wicked armors Cover art mask Long leather boots (most likely won't wear them as some comfy black chelsea boots look the same) Black morph mask And my soft parts are currently in progress by my seamstress. She is using textureless wool blend, has a nice flow, somewhat heavy and doesn't looks plasticy/shiny at all. I can't wait to take some progress pics
  11. My fabric choice will be a heavy cotton or wool (just like a Vader cape) I just need to see which feels better and looks better
  12. I would be more than glad to work along the new standards for this costume as I am currently working with a seamstress to make my costume (so no WA). I am trying to find as accurate parts as possible. Currently sourcing the gloves but I think just found the right one for me (40cm long which reaches just below my elbow by 1 inch, sheep skin without a giant flare at the opening)
  13. Hey! I've been working on my COTf Nihilus, I need a new belt, a new more skull like mask and some high boots, you can't really see all the details, the sleeves are quilted and padded, it's way more visible in good lighting or in person Here is a pic so far https://ibb.co/FhgRQjL
  14. Sorry, I made a mistake, they are called OXworks not OXsabers, but here is a link https://www.facebook.com/oxworks
  15. OXsabers on facebook makes the best kotor 2 sabers, and look for insoles, they'll make you look taller
  16. Soo my friend made this file and printed it for me, just for fun at convetntions
  17. So I ran into this problem, I made my hood way too big (new leather gloves are coming in and the new WA mask). Does anyone have a pattern for a more accurate one? And I know the capes are too far in front but I have fixed it since (hidden safety pins for the win)
  18. An update, so far so good, I am still missing some details and the hood but it will be done by the weekend hopefuly As a side note I am 16 only so I can't join the legion yet but this will make a fine addition to my academy costume list
